I started using Garnier Sleek and Shine shampoo along with the conditioner Sunday. i used to just use the leave in. and I started using carrot oil also until I actually go somewhere away and get some cocunut oil. Wednesday, I started getting attacked by fruit flies or gnats terribly at work. I placed the trash can by my desk outside. There is no food at all here except in the fridge.

I was the only one being attacked!!! 5 bugs per minute were attacking me. I left and got some off. I drowned myself in it. Did not work. Same thing today. My coworkers thought I was nutz at this point because they could not see them and I was the only one being attacked.

I went and got Off Deep Woods this time and went home and scrubbed myself to make sure no sweet smells were attracting them. Still being ambushed!!

It finally dawned on me that it has to be my shampooe or the carrot oil. My coworker said the reason why it took the flies until Wednesday to get to me is because they had to find a way in first.

This sucks sooooooo bad. So I am scared now to use anything else made out of fruit or veggies or anything.

And my coworkers still think I am crazy. So now what can I use?????? I am not trying shea butter now, either.

I feel your pain. Years ago I was swarmed by a bunch of bees at the zoo. No matter how far I ran, they kept coming after me, swarming around my head; it was awful! I'd been using an apple scented shampoo and it's the only reason I could think of that they went after me. I never used it again. Plenty of people use fruity hair products (including me again) and never have a problem, so I think it must be an oddity. I'll bet it's the same with you, plenty of people use that same product without a problem, don't you think? I'd try leaving a little bit out to see if it attracts fruit flies.
