Pretty Wrap?
Does anyone here use Pretty Wrap? I was wondering what your thoughts were on it. Also, if you plop, does this wrap work for plopping?
TIA!

Okay, so my Pretty Wrap came in the mail today. I am having beginners operating issues, but I have to say that it looks 10 times better than when I use my T-shirt on my head overnight.
Tonight I co-washed, conditioned, KCCC'd (notice no gel because I am trying to see how the KCCC is going to work for me) plopped for a few hours and now have my head in the Pretty Wrap, so I will report back any results tomorrow. Seeing the results, I will be able to compare it to nothing at all on a regular pillowcase, a satin pillowcase with a half dried pineapple, and a overnight plop with a T-Shirt.
Be back to let you know how it goes!
And here is the link to the wrap, incase you are wondering. http://www.prettywrap.com/information.php?info_id=4

Ooh, this looks very promising. I've been looking at various sleep bonnets but the ones I've found are all lined with icky synthetic satin, not silk, and I can't sleep on a satin pillowcase, either. I've tried a silk scarf, and they slip off. I've been putting my hair up in a big bun now that it's so long instead of a pineapple because I think it protects it better from rubbing breakage. I wish I could make one of these but I'm sewing-challenged. Maybe I could use a much bigger square of silk and learn to tie it better . . . .
Please let us know how you like it!

Haha, just as an aside: My mother came to say hello to me, walked into my bedroom and made a funny face but didn't say anything. I said, "I am trying something with my hair" and she said, "I can see that."
However, I didn't get any wierd comments so that was good. I can imagine if she saw me in my T-shirt that there would have been a comment.

Morning After Review:
Keep in mind that I am still in the process of figuring out what is best for my curls/waves in terms of products.
I slept better with the pretty wrap than I had with a T-shirt plop. It was less bulky and just felt better at night and didn't wake me up at all. It was a little warm, but nothing I couldn't handle. I really only thought about it because other people mention their bonnets being too hot, so I made sure to notice.
When I woke up and took off the wrap I had a sligt indentation on my forehead, but it went away after 30 seconds of being off. Since I used KCCC I needed to SOTC but it looked good. If I had to compare it to the other methods I have used (see above) in terms of comfort and result, it is definately preferrable to all of them. And, even though I am not at a good place with my curls yet, it still made my curls look better than with the other methods.
Hope this helped someone, anyone.

Yay, glad to hear it was a success! This is going on my wish list. BTW, most of the other bonnets & sleep caps & pillow cases are made of or lined with synthetic satin, which means they're going to be hot -- they just don't breathe. And I can't stand it near my skin. Silk breathes, so it will be cooler when you are warm, but silk is also warm when it's cool. So I doubt it would be too hot under most circs.
Funny about your mom's observation/lack of further comment!
Now of course we want to see a photo of you in your wrap. Which color did you get? They need to add more colors and patterns.

I will say that I don't look the same way in it as the girl in the picture does. I agree that they need more colors. I got the white but I may just buy a new one in a different color because right after I took mine off today and set it on the bedside table, an oil spilled on it. Blech.
