Finally! Found the Lustrasilk Olive Oil
I had to go to Sally Beauty in Waltham and it was the only one on the shelf.
And I got that Ion hard hat dryer too. Used my Sally's 15% off receipt coupon, and got another coupon!

I'm trying out the cholesterol version today under KCCC.
I'm excited to see how it goes — it's about 50% dry at this point and so far so good.

SBB, I wish I'd known you wanted Lustrasilk Olive Oil -- I would've sent you my tub of it! Sadly, it does nothing for my persnickety hair.
Have you used it yet? What do you think?

Isn't it better in lower dewpoints?

Jillipoo, it was a back burner purchase/impulse buy. I was at the store to buy a hair dryer and asked about it and they had it.
I like it better than the Shea butter as a leave-in -- the LSBC is a bit rough as a leave-in and I'm concerned that color will stain my hair. I mixed the Olive Oil with a little KBB Super Silky today (love that stuff).

I'm going to try a twist and curl with the Olive, maybe a little Super Silky and use Hairveda whipped clouds as the "sealer"
used Giovanni gel over this and I'm on my 3rd day hair.

I agree, but unfortunately after several days of using it, my hair starts to react to one of the oils in it. I think it might be the wheat germ oil.

Actually, I didn't read that article. Thanks for the link! To be honest, I'm not 100% sure what it was in the LSOO that my hair reacted to. At first my hair loved it but after a week or so my hair reacted just like it does when I use protein. It was dry, crispy and rough to the touch. Too bad, cause I was getting great definition from it.

@Magoo - do you apply it over several days to your hair? The accumulation may be affecting your hair. I only apply on wash day, then fluff out on day 2-3 with another product.

I'm not one of those lucky ones that gets second day hair. I've cut it out of my routine for now and maybe I might try using it once or twice a week as a leave in and see if my hair tolerates it better cause I was really loving it.
ETA: Maybe using it everyday as a leave in was causing all the oils to coat my hair (almost like cones) and not letting any more moisture in. My hair gets build up pretty easily.
