Phyto Phytodefrisant Botanical Hair Relaxing Balm

Hi Hair boardies. I'm popping in with a quick question about this product:
Phyto Phytodefrisant Botanical Hair Relaxing Balm.

Quote:

Product Description
Phytodefrisant is a relaxing balm for all hair types, naturally curly or permed hair. Ferula, horseradish, and garlic extracts coat and straighten hair without any chemical action. The non-oily formula won't weaken hair. Imparts shine as hair blow-dried to smooth, straight perfection. What it is formulated WITHOUT:- Parabens- Sulfates- Synthetic Fragrances- Synthetic Dyes- Petro-Chemicals- Phthalates
does anyone know if this permanently straightens hair? I won't use it if it has any lasting effects. Does anyonw know?

Hi. It's a temporary effect. It's mostly used with a blow dryer as part of a straightening routine. I bought some without realizing what is was for and had to take it back -- I'm too lazy to blow dry, let alone try and get it straight, and it did nothing for me without the heat. Some people are happy with it with out the heat <scratches head>. Basically, you either absolutely love it or hate it:

If you buy, make sure you can return it... :)

I was told that it was good for smoothing down afternoon frizz. Other then being expensive and it set off my hayfever, I didn't notice much.

I used to use it. It did help a bit with frizz but I didn't really notice much relaxing going on and for the price it just wasn't worth continuing with.

I use it as a gel. I don't think it will straighten my kinks very well.
