They all look good and very Ouidadish to me. And the blond, as far as I'm concerned (since I'm a 3c) doesn't really have "curly" hair. She has a wave that they used product on to make it look curly. One breeze and they'd have more volume.

I have a big head. I look at earlier photos of myself and aside from my hair being shorter, the "controlled", slick curls look was too flat for my head. Yet when I saw myself in the mirror it looked large. It's definitely a personal preference, and also my perspective changed over time. I can still look at myself in the mirror and my hair looks large, but take a photo and it looks fine.

I only recently realized this! I finally had the kind of hair day that I thought I always wanted - and hated it. Now everything is about more volume, more volume, some more definition, and more volume. Love big hair!

My preferences hasn't realy changed. My ideal is the woman in the middle with more volume at the roots.

i think that i would love to have my hair naturally look like that but im done fighting with my hair to make it that way. i could get sorta close to the hairstyle in the middle but all of the gel would make my hair feel so dry. so although my preference didnt change, i dont strive for it.... and since i dont strive anymore im actually starting to like the fullness and softness that mousse gives me...who knows, maybe my opinion will eventually change

I use to wear my hair to the point that it looked like I plastered my hair with gel...ewww. I had no idea what I was doing. Now I don't mind my frizzies and if my hair is out of place.

That's pretty much my first day hair after wash, condition, and product. It helps with much better 2nd day hair if I just leave it alone and let my pillow SOTC for the next day.

You know, it wasn't long ago that I actually strived for hair like the girl in the middle, as her hair is closest to my texture, but it really is too finished looking. As others have said, scrunching and fluffing it up would be an awesome style for that girl, but it would work in some occasions I suppose. Now that Ohio weather has gone berserk, I just shrug and walk out the door, accepting that my hair is going to start expanding like crazy. Any you know what? I actually like it

Me too! With time, I've become more accepting and relaxed about what my hair does, as long as it is in good health. I think that relaxed confidence shows through, even on days when my hair (to me) doesn't look tip top but I walk out the door anyway. Today was such a day, second day hair. I scrunched and fluffed and it wasn't quite doing what I wanted it to do and near the roots are frizzy. I put a Flexi-8 in my handbag just in case and went to work. Some guy in Finance told me he loved my hair.

My face just doesn't look good with my curls that flat against my head. I like them fluffed out a little more, but I still fight with the frizz. I don't think I'll ever like frizz!

As for being more accepting of what my hair does, sometimes when my hair is the messiest (to me), that's when I get all the compliments. Go figure.

I would take that long dark hair any day. But I would scrunch it around and make it a little more messy. I think all three look good tho.

I like the blond chick's hair in that picture, it's close to what I try to achieve for work, polished and professional. I agree with rsw, she's probably a scrunched wavy or loose-curly, not a stretched out more-curly, plopping the waves with gel is how I get my hair to do that.

But occasionally, just occasionally, I wake up with what I consider my favorite hair, the result of pineappleing (is that a verb?) big waves, lots of volume, it is definitely not an office-hair look, very, um, freshly-tumbled looking (definitely not what my hair would do if it was Actually Messy or Windblown, of course, but the idealized image of it) so generally I have to pull it back into a barette on those days, which is OK, it looks like it wants to escape, which is also nice.

I don't think any of them look producty, maybe the dark hair a little, but I'd kill to have hair like any of them. The redhead has the sort of curls I'd prefer and my preference hasn't changed in a long, long time. I like the neatness and uniformity of them, I can't abide mess and that's what I see on my head every day, an untidy, frizzy, undefined mess of curls.

Default Yeah

I really want a neater, more defined look in my hair. The frizzy, messy look doesn't suit my looks or lifestyle at all--yet it seems that is what I'm stuck with.

My hair is most similar to the blond woman's (only coarser) and I would love to know how to get that look.

My hair is in between the red head and the blondie...but I have longer hair and more volume.

I think all 3 look great; not producty. I prefer volume since I have thin, fine hair. With tight little curls I would have a lot of scalp showing.

When I first went CG, I wanted curls that looked like they came from a curling iron. Poor naive jillipoo....

Now, though, my preferences change with my mood, and I find that some days I want perfect definition and other days, I'd rather have fullness and a wilder look.

Frizz, though, is still not welcome.
