Burt's Bees Poo/Conditioner? Looking for safe drugstore low poo & conditioner?
Anyone use Burt's Bees Shampoo/Conditioner?
I'm sort of curious about it- looking for a good shampoo/conditioner that I can get right at Wal-mart that's safe for my 3A curls. I really want the Deva line, but it's just too expensive >.<

I use Burt's Bees super shiny low poo & conditioner. I use the low poo once every two or three weeks and I can use the conditioner almost daily. These were the first CG friendly products I tried when I made the switch. At first I thought the conditioner wasn't thick enough, but I think it just took my hair a little time to get used to it. I think it's a great everyday conditioner and they make a nice shea butter deep treatment too. You may need something thicker or more moisturizing though every once in a while if your hair is on the dry side like mine. A big plus is that it smells awesome!
When I switched to CG by live-in boyfriend kind of switched too and has been using my Burt's Bees hair products with me for a few months now. His hair is so much shinier and his scalp looks a lot healthier. Plus, the smell basically makes me want to eat his hair...or just snuggle up to him.

Awwwwwwwwww! That's so cute.
Yeah, my hair is SUPER dry. But I might pick up some samples of it just to try.
Anyone else have some suggestions?
Maybe good/light ethnic hair care products that I can get from Sally's/Wal-mart/Walgreens?

I've been using the more moisture burt's bees set. The conditioner doesn't do anything for me, but the shampoo is great. It is really light though, so if I need a stronger shampoo I use Suave's daily clarifying shampoo, which my hair seems to love for some reason.

I use the BB super shiny condish. I'm not sure how much it is doing for my hair? it does make it super shiny though... hence the name I may try the shea butter by BB to see if i can get some more moisture in my hair.

The Very Volumizing Pomegranate & Soy condish works great as a leave-in under KCCC - shiny clumpy curls all day that smell great! I had originally bought it as a rinse-out, but it didn't give me enough slip for detangling.
I think I'll have to try that Super Shiny next

I didn't think the Burt's Bees conditioner was moisturizing enough for my hair. If you're looking for things you can get at Wal-Mart, look for the Loreal one; LVPG - you'll have to look up the abbreviation. I don't use it so I don't know which one it is. Also, look for the Giovanni products.
There are quite a few things you can find at Sally's including the GVP conditioner (Biolage knockoff) and some Lustrasilk conditioners.
CG doesn't have to be expensive!

I've found the BB's shampoos to be tangling & stripping, and the conditioners to be not so moisturizing, but more like gentle cleansing.

My hair felt very stripped after using the Super Shiny Grapefruit and Sugarbeet Shampoo, and that conditioner didn't do much for me either - I definitely required a good leave-in with it, and I don't necessarily normally. Nor do I care for their shea and grapefruit DT - it certainly doesn't seem rich enough for a DT, and I am not one who can take very heavy conditioners.
I much prefer Giovanni, Aubrey Organics, GVP conditioning balm from Sally's, even Naked Naturals - I liked their citrus and keratin poo and condish a lot better than the Burt's Bees. I've recently been trying the L'Oreal Vive Pro Nutri Gloss for med/long hair that's wavy/curly in the pink bottle (the one Lolo referred to above - that one specifically as they aren't all CG), and I think I like it for occasional rinse-out use and/or co-washing.
There are some Garnier conditioners that are OK, but you'll have to read labels to see which. The new Esencia line from Samy is supposed to be OK. Some of the new sulfate-free poos from the regular lines are probably OK, but the corresponding conditioners may have cones.
My faves are still Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat 'poo and condish for low-poo and co-wash and GVP or Bio-Infusion or Aldi's knock-off of Biolage Conditioning Balm for my rinse-out.

I agree. I don't know if I felt stripped afterwards, but it did nothing for me. Not slippery or clean feeling. And it is not thick at all. I needed to use tons. I much prefer, as AuntNett said, the GVP or LVPNG, as well as GTTTT, and Suave for co-wash. I also have been using Giovanni Direct Leave In as of late too, and like that!

I tried the more moisture condish too and found it didn't live up to it's name at all, at least not on my hair.

Thanks so much for your replies everyone! I think there's better out there for me as I have pretty dry dry hair. As much as I love the Burt's Bees line, I'll have to pass on this one.
