Default Made my appointment with Yodit for a major haircut

and I am now freaking out! I am going to cut off as much of my Japanese-straightened hair as I can get away with today...meaning that I will probably go from mixed-texture BSL hair to chin length 3b hair...in about three hours. I have about 5 inches of new 3b growth which looks like 3a now because all the straight hair is weighing it down.

Any ideas on which haircuts would work best for transitioning hair? Inverted bob? Bob? Lots of layers so that I can take advantage of the 5 inches of new growth at my nape? I know it's horrible to do this without pictures, but I am at work and have no access right now. I also realized I sound sort of deranged but I am also so super thrilled! I miss my curls!

I'm a little partial. A chin length, inverted bob would probably take away most of the damage. You could have your stylist keep it as long as possible. Also, the layers might just get rid of the damage. Here's the link to the curly bob thread:

You may be able to print any pictures you like.

You'll have to let us know how you make out. Lots of people start out gradually, but I rather get the damage all cut off and start out fresh. Only issue is you won't be able to pull it back in a ponytail, etc. I don't find it a problem. I wet and style everyday--so it looks good most of the time.
