Default Really disgusted pls help ++

I have 3b hair. It is a total mess. I just can't find any products that make my hair form nonfrizzy curls.

My hair is 3 inches below my shoulders. In layers the first layer is about by my collar bone. The top of my hair is frizzy (maybe layers are too long?) the rest is frizzy curls (because that is where the layering begins)

Any recs appreciated-shampoos, cond, gel, haircut suggests. Thanks so much!

Are you CG? What products are you using now?

Default I tried that and saw no results. ro

I just tried Biosilk gelee, made my hair stiff and dry. Last night I used Matrix Biolage smoothing milk and sunsilk captivating curs. My hair is soft, flyaway, and frizzy. My hair is perfect when wet, great curl formation and shine. When is dries...one big poofy, frizzy mess!

It may have something to do with the layers, they are hard to cut into curly hair. They can make hair look frizzier than it really is.

Do you touch your hair at all while it's drying? If so, try not to after you're done putting styling products in because the more you touch your hair the frizzier it will get.

I use Yes to Carrots or Tomatoes. What I do with the condish is work a heap into my hair and let it sit for a bit, maybe 2-3 minutes and comb thru. I let my hair sit like that for about 2 minutes, then I rinse. I work about a quarter size of KCKT into my hair, then a few dabs of KCCC followed by, a quarter size again of HETT. I comb that thru again and scrunch in at the ends another small, pea sized dab of HETT. I then plop for about 5 minutes and scrunch with my pillowcase to remove excess water. I air dry (if I have the time) for about an hour or until I can't stand it anymore. Then I diffuse.

It took a bit of time for find what works in my hair. I can tollerate a cone or two, so Carrots doesn't bother me. Tomatoes has no cones. I've been CG since January and have 3b hair.

The Sunsilk is full of silicones and I believe the Matrix is too. Long-term use of silicones causes drying issues with hair even when shampoo is used and is probably part of the issue you're having.

I would suggest that you find a conditioner that has no silicones in it and try using that. Giovanni 50/50, L'Oreal Vive Pro Nutri Gloss (a whole thread in general on that), any of the Sauve Natuals, and many more conditioners fit into that category.

I agree with that. I think that is where your problem lies.
A hair gel I used to use had cones in it and recently started causing a lot of problems. After I shampooed and quit using it I didn't have a problem with frizz anymore.

i think some moisture would be good. i recommend the GVP conditioning balm conditioner. it's really soothing on the hair. and as far as the biosilk gelee, i literally use just a tiny drop per section. i couldn't imagine using it like i would use another gel like HETT. my hair was crazy dry before i had it all chopped off - now it's much better - but what i used was KCCC and BHRG and i would do an over night plop and my curls would be nicely defined and had very little frizz. what got rid of all my frizz- however, was cutting off my hair. i had some heat damage that was irreversible. but try the GVP and the AOHR- both really thick conditioners.

What kind of hair do you have? Is it fine, medium, coarse? Is your hair porous and soaking up products? Is it nonporouse and nothing seems to moisturize it? Go here if you don't know; it can be a good resource for you.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you dislike the CG routine?
