Default Do I cut or not? *PICS*

So I haven't recieved a haircut since about January. The biggest reason is, I always end up hating my cut as it grows out so I figured I might as well keep letting it grow before I find someone who can really do it.

My hair is finally reaching my shoulder blades when stretched but I feel like the cut is a little awkward. This weekend I will be in the Boston area so I have an opportunity to get a good cut. However, I really hate to lose the little length I have. I am finally able to get it all in a ponytail without it slipping.

Do I wait for more length, and then go, or do I just do it?

Carmen do you have a curl friendly salon that you plan on visiting without an appointment?

No, I was hoping to find a place that I could call tomorrow. I will be back in that area in 3 weeks as well so I would think I could get an appointment at a curl friendly place.

Do you have split or broken ends? Is your hair losing shape and not looking good anymore? If not, I'd say don't fix what ain't broken.

I am not sure the shape I was given was very good. These days my hair is usually pulled back because of the farm so I am hesitating. Maybe I should wait until fall...

It's better to wait and gain length than go have some cut off and it be too much - especially if you didn't need it cut off.

I did cut off a lot but my ends were start to break due to terrible tangling - too many layers wrapping around each other. I waited until my shortest layer was shoulder length - but my husband cut mine. I couldn't blame anyone but myself if it didn't turn out right.

Anyone you can trust to just trim your ends?

If you're pulling it back anyway I'd say wait. Buy some new hair goodies to jazz it up and keep letting it grow.

I got the new hair goodies part covered! I am waiting on a CJ order.

Maybe I will just wait. I would rather be able to pull it back right now, and its not too terrible if I pull the front back.

I'd say leave it alone. Well, post a recent pix - yes, we need a pix and a poll.

I can't use those, my cows love to take them out while I am bent over putting the milking machine on them

I think my cow, Grace, had the best moment ever when she managed to get a headband off my head and kept lifting it in the air everytime I would make a grab for it. Took me a couple minutes to get it back. From then on, its been plain hair ties!

If you're just pulling it back everyday for work/the summer, definitely wait. That was the key for mine getting as long as it has! I just wore it up everyday, then *poof!*, all of a sudden it had a lot more length!

I agree with those who said to wait since you'll be wearing it up anyway.

Besides, protective styles that protect teh ends can help with length retention, so you may even gain extra length over the summer.

Yeah, I'd wait to if you're pulling it back anyway. Let it grow a bit, then get a good cut.

eta: I see the pics now. It doesn't look bad at all. Let it grow.
