Rock Hard Gelee Users.....and others who can give recommendations! :)
I LOVE Rock Hard Gelee (in the colder months, it is awesome for me), but now that the weather is getting warmer and the humidity is going to start setting in, this stuff is starting to get to be "too much" for my hair....and it is feeling "dirty" and isn't just doing what it does for me in the fall/winter.
Any recommendations on something that may give the same results that is summer-friendly?

Are you using any other products with the BRGH? It's possible they, or your condish, are too heavy for the warmer weather.
I use this stuff year round. For me it's the best gel for fighting humidity-induced frizz.

I bought Aquage Mega Gel and tried it for the first time this morning. I am really liking the results. For me it has the hold of BRHG but not goo like application or crunch.
Aquage Gel Review ('ok, Del?;)
I also bought Mop Top Gel on the recommendation of a curly headed stylist at the salon where I bought the Aquage. She swears by it. This is a curly hair dresser in the South, so probably a good sign. I am trying it in the morning, and will post results.
(Both of these options are CG)

I alternate between BRGH and Hotity Toity's ultra hold flaxseed gel from finelotions.com, and get great results. HTH.

The only thing I ever really put with it is another type of gel to "unconcentrate" the BRHG. It seems SOOOOO concentrated that I need to "thin" it out a bit so it doesn't get too much in one area, if that makes sense. But of course, I cut down on portions of each to avoid the nasties.....and the other gel I used was CG friendly.
There is no way I can use RHG on its own as concentrated as it is.
Is there anything I can get in a store/locally that may be good to either replace this or to mix in w/ it?? I really am not into buying these things online with the price of shipping!

Why not just thin it out with some water?
That's pretty much what I do. Take a tiny bit and rub it all over your palms. Then pass one hand, palm up, under the tap. Or spritz your hand from a spray bottle of water. Rub hands together, smooth over hair.

I also find straight BRHG way too much for summer, so I have been mixing a small dab of it w/ a blob of FOTE Aloe Vera Gel. This combo is really rocking my world right now!!

I actually combine BRHG with JC Condition & Sculpt to thin it out and to give more hold to the C&S. I like how the C&S gives moisture and that "squishy" feeling to my curls when I scrunch.

I pretty much do the same thing because BRHG on its own is too much for my hair. I use TheraNeem Leaf and Aloe gel but have also used plain ol' aloe vera gel and both work nicely.
I also "cut" my BRHG with KCCC and that works really well, too. (I use about three times as much KCCC as BRHG when I do this.)
