Low-Maintenance Routine for Camp?

I'm going to a summer camp this year for a week and I'm worried about my hair. Last year I went, so I kind of know what to expect as far as showering facilities, etc. I wasn't as educated and conscious of my hair last year as I am now, though, and I'm worried about my hair taking too long to do, and I'm also worried about chlorine damage. Do any of you have suggestions for a low-maintenance routine that will still keep my curls looking good?
2C/3A, fine, normal-high porosity, medium texture

Low Poo
- Cristophe Beverly Hills Purely Natural Daily Shampoo
Co-Wash- Suave Naturals Coconut (sometimes used as a leave-in)
Condish- LVPNG
Leave-ins- KCKT, Suave Naturals Coconut, Garnier Sleek & Shine
Gels- Aldi Shique Gel, LA Looks Sport,
Enhancer- KCCC

I'm going to be unpopular here for saying this, but I would abandon CG for that week if I were at camp for a week. You'll be swimming in a chlorinated pool, so get a good chelating shampoo for that (it needs EDTA in it's ingredient list). Just make sure to have an extra moisturizing conditioner to undo whatever damage shampooing might do.
Keep your hair routine simple. Since you'll be shampooing (and looking at your "3a with fine porosity hair"-- similar to mine), I would recommend a cheap leave-in conditioner like Garnier Fructis sleek and shine leave-in. It has amodimethicone in it, but who cares if your sulfate washing. I find it very moisturizing and it helps in curl formation. If you need hold, use your LA sport gel too. Then, let it airdry while you're eating breakfast and doing early morning activities...an hour or two later, go to the bathroom and scrunch the crunch.
Or put it back in a ponytail at times to take a break from styling products.

That's just me, though. Take it for what it's worth.

Either way, have loads and loads of fun!!
That's right, I said it! I wear scrunchies!!

I am a sulfate washing, cone slabbing, curly lovin' s.o.b. The CG police haven't caught me yet.

If all else fails a good conditioner for rinse out and leave in, and a nice loose bun.

2b/3a medium/coarse semi-porous/iii
White Rain Ocean Mist GVP conditioning balm. Bioterra/LA Looks. Air dry. SOTC w/LOOB..I think its my first HG.
Experimenting with homemade recipes.
Boomygrll- Thanks for the tips! I was wondering if I should just break out the shampoo, but I'm still a little scared of going back to non-CG. My hair was so poofy back then, but you're right it's probably best that I get rid of all of that chlorine. =P I just checked the ingredients of a low poo I've had lying around. It's called Cristophe Purely Natural Daily Shampoo. It has something called Tetrasodium EDTA at the very end of the ingredients list. Do you think this would be too mild?

Ioewin- Yeah I'll probably have to bun it on most days. =P I wish conditioner only styling worked for me!

1. Non-sulfate shampoo! I was under the impression that this would clarify any lake water/sea water/chlorine out of your hair. Also you could invest in a swim cap (or not lol). Some good ones are giovanni tea trea, cream of nature (the one with the red cap), and deva no-poo. Perhaps the deva low-poo woudl work as well.

2. Protect your hair from the sun! It can be very drying if you're not careful. Either wear a bandanna or hat while you're out and about or try leaving in a product that has a sunscreen in it. Here's a great blog post about it:
http://livecurlylivefree.blogspot.co...mer-curls.html

3. Cheap conditioner, and perhaps some light weight gel. I'd say you don't have to switch off CG unless you find the chlorine isn't coming out. So you'll need a co-wash conditioner, a heavier one maybe, and some gel. I just put my hair up at camp or let it air dry with some gel and then put it up. I recently bought some fantasia IC gel from walgreens--it's water based and seems great for summer. It even has a sunscreen ingredient in there! Also it's in this huge tub.

4. A good comb. You probably already have one, but I know this was essential to not taking too long in the shower since I like to detange in the shower.

5. A large, plastic cup for filling with water. Does your camp have good water pressure? Mine doesn't! I need one of these to get all the conditioner out.

6. Lots of hair ties and headbands. I love bandannas and wide stretchy headbands for keeping all of my hair out of my face.

I hope this helps! And don't worry too much about this camp stuff--it's only a week. You can always recuperate your hair afterwards. Just out of curiosity what kind of camp is it? Mine is a "Girl's Camp on the Coast of NC" with lots of nautical stuff, as well as sports and crafts. Actually this summer I am going to an instate college program, but next summer I hope to be a counselor!

Manya994- Thanks! I'll look for that next time I get a chance to go to Whole Foods.

whimaway- Thanks, that really helped! I saw that blog a couple days ago, and I'll try to find a product that will help with the sun. I'm pretty bad about wearing hats, etc. so I'll have to go with a product. =P Thanks for all the tips though, i'll be sure to pack all of those. It's a Methodist church camp. =P Nothing too extreme, like white water rafting or anything. It's fun to be with all of my friends though.

For sure fully saturate your hair with tap water before you goin the pool; your hair absorbs less chemicals that way.

I personally would use it as a weeklong rest for my hair; do DTs, air dry, wear buns etc. Unless its also a socializing type thing, in which case I'd say go the pretty headband route
