Grey hair texture - coarse or fine?

Thanks to everyone for your compliments.
And for those who are afraid to let go of the color, either because they don't want to 'look old' or because of the texture of their greys - I always say to do what makes you happy.
But for me it was the best thing ever. "Living with more authenticity" is a great way to put it. It just makes me happier to be me just as I am.

Sorry for the sidetrack.

I am not yet brave enough to post full frontal pics, though. Maybe someday.

It took me over a year just to post pics of the back of my head! LOL

I think I have between 10 and 20 grey hairs. The rest of my hair is extremely fine, baby fine. But the greys are coarse, wiry, and like to do the exact opposite of whatever the rest of my hair is doing. lol

If my hair is smoothed down, they stick straight up. If my hair is out and full, the hang there, limp.

I've been hennaing my hair so the greys are reddish highlights in my black hair. I figure the more grey I get, the more red highlights I'll have.

I wouldn't mind being fully grey when I'm older, but right now I really like the henna and the color it gives.
I have about 10 or so greys. Most of those are coarse. But, one or two of them are fine. My normal hair texture is medium/fine mix. The coarse ones are horrible being they are a totally different hair texture and they tend to stick out!...

My very thick hair is 3c/4a with lowlights and highlights (I was told that process would be less damaging than a single-process dye job, not to mention more natural-looking and, I assume cheaper) and, since my last haircut which trimmed off the last of my relaxer, is a mass of soft, tiny corkscrews.

Except for the silver hair, which has a completely different texture. It's not incredibly coarse, but it is significantly more coarse than the rest of my hair and is almost wavy. My "regular" hair has several "S" curves in it. My silver hair has only one and a couple of long bends; because of that and the fact that it's slightly heavier because of the coarseness, it also hangs longer than the other hair. What a mess this is going to be when I get more.

I've been pulling them out. They drive me crazy. Although I have a lot of hair, that obviously is not a good habit to start. Maybe I'll try snipping them.

I believe I condition my hair sufficiently, so I have no idea what to do.
