Default Met Michelle and Gretchen...

...at Premiere Orlando, the big beauty industry show, this weekend. They were there to formally launch CurlStylist.com.

It was a privilege and an honor to meet the two women who created this wonderful community for us. They are both terrific (with some rockin' curls!) and I wish we would have had more time together...but duty called on both sides, unfortunately, and we only had a few minutes to chat.

Michelle told me they are eager to make CurlStylist.com a place where hair stylists from all over can learn the real deal about curly hair and I have pledged my commitment to helping them make that happen. For any other stylists who post/lurk on nc.com, I urge you to sign up at CurlStylist.com...let's lead the charge in helping to educate stylists everywhere on how to take care of our beautiful and unique hair.

Ladies, I hope to see you at Premiere again next year!

How cool to meet them, but too bad you didn't have more time.

I hope the new site really helps stylists to understand and treat curly hair.

Given the unpleasantness with Lorraine this weekend, meeting them was truly a bright spot. They are great people...if they are ever in your area and you have a chance to meet them, go!

It sounds like it was fun to meet them, and I am glad that they had a booth. I wold think that curly booths would be outnumbered at something like that.

Care to share what happened with her? Just curious.

That's awesome that you got to meet the NC.com duo. Do they do non-stylist-only functions..so us little people could meet them too?

I'm glad the upbeat meeting with Michelle and Gretchen counteracted some of the unpleasantness of other aspects of the event. I bet the three of you together made one amazing vision of curls!

Thumbs down

re: the blog -- I can't believe how immature some people can be. Especially in their high profile careers.

And I don't mean you, Tiffany! I went to her twitter and read it. wow.

I just read it too...she makes me so mad, very childish, and very aggressive. Not a good combination.

Thank you all so much for the support. I have been in a bit of a funk today over this, but I realize I can't change it or her. I'm going to focus on getting back to the business of beautiful curls and try to put this behind me.

Tiffany, just looked at her Twitter. Please don't let it get you down. To those of us who "know" you at NC.com, she sounds .

I'm still hoping to convince DH we need a vacation to St. Pete's so I can meet you in person and have you work your magic. Good for you for taking the high road and being the bigger person.

Gosh! What a disappointment to have someone you admire(d) act thus.

Sorry, S.

We all still love you, though!

To me that's what makes it so hurtful, the fact that you looked up to this person and then she behaves this way. It's just ridiculous...............

Yes we do love you!!!!
