I've used mousse now and again and mostly like the results, but I stick with my gel now because I can get 2-4 day hair out of it. When I use mousse, I generally have to wash every day or 2.

In my teens I just used mousse. Now I stick with gel...mousse is way too drying for me.

I use gel, and also a cream styler. Not mousse.

Gel only. Any mousse I've tried made my hair stringy and made it feel producty.

Gel only. I like the hold of a gel, specifically BRHG b/c it doesn't flake or leave a producty feeling in my hair. Also, I found mousse a bit drying in the past.

I use gel only. Mousse doesn't have enough hold for me and it makes my hair feel dry.

I've never been able to get mousse to work for me consistently, and they can be drying. GEL is great, preferrably over a cream styler or leave in. I need the hold so use gel pretty much year round.

I like the idea of mousse, but I just can't get it to work for me any more. I used to use it when I was younger, but I would also use other things with it for frizzies. So now I just use gel and that works pretty well on its own.

I use gel and sometimes creams. Mousse always made my hair feel producty and dry. Gel does make the hair crunchy sometimes but it can usually be scrunched out with not much of a problem.

I use gel sometimes by itself or layered. I have never had a good experience with mousse, which is why I don't use it. The gels that I like to use are the ones that give me flexible hold, and not the ones that give any type of crunch.

I use both now, only because I'm scared to try gel alone. I use more mousse then gell though.

Used to use mousse when I relaxed to get a 3c curl. Since I stopped relaxing and am back to 4a, mousse doesn't work; only creams or gels, or a combination. Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam is pretty good.

I always do a mix when wearing my hair wavy/curly. Gel alone is too heavy, mousse alone I haven't tried, but I expect it wouldn't give enough hold. Now, when I use sponge rollers (I don't use them very often any more because they take away so much moisture from my hair), I use gel only. I also almost always use a bit of conditioner before using styling products.
