Default Starting CG do I have it right?

Ok I am a wavy so I am suppose to wash my hair once a week with a shampoo with no sulfates and put conditioner on the bottom of my hair before I shampoo. I got burts bees super shiny for that. I already only wash my hair twice a week so maybe this transition will be painless. Next I am suppose to condition without using silicones. I bought the burts bees super shiny conditioner for that. I did not see any mention of a leave in in the section for wavies in the cg book. Did I miss it or is it not exactly something you need to do. I am confused on this. On the days I am not shampooing I am suppose to do a condition wash. Afterwards I am suppose to scrunch my hair and put a gel in it. I bought Herbal Essences totally twisted. I also have some samples I bought from a member here. By the way if you see this thank you they arrived very fast, thanks. So do I have it down and do the products sound okay? Thank you for your help sorry its so long.

I don't really know a lot about wavy hair since mine is very curly, but don't be afraid to experiment and find out what works best for you. Everyone's hair is different, so you'll have to find out how often you need to wash with a low-poo, condition, deep treatments, etc... I've already learned a lot about my hair since going cg (and I'm still trying to get some things figured out), but a lot of it is just trial and error, and reading a whole lot of info through this site!

Products I'm using:
Shampoo 1-2x/week: Organix Coconut
Co-wash: Suave Naturals Coconut
Conditioner: GVP Conditioning Balm
Leave-in: Giovanni Direct Leave-In

You can conditioner wash as often or as seldom as works for you. If you are used to washing every day you may want to start out conditioner washing (co-washing) every day and see how it goes. Most people actually co-wash every other or every third day and just water wash in between. I'm a mostly 3a but I tend to co-wash every time I get my hair wet which is every day in the summer or every 2nd or third day in the winter. So far as the leave-in is concerned, just do what feels right. You can use your regular conditioner or co-wash conditioner as leave-ins....use it if you feel like your hair needs more moisture and skip it when you don't feel like you need it.

The Burt's Bees products are CG and smell great but for some reason my hair didn't love them so dont give up if they don't seem perfect...just try a different product combination. It does seem to take some trial and error to get the right combination of products and technique.

I personally wash with a sulfate-free shampoo and a silicone-free conditioner once every three days. For the days in between, I put my hair up in a towel while I shower, and my hair comes out soft and shiny.
My hair is really healthy, now that I do this.

2C roots, 3A/3B for the rest.
currently growing out... pulled down the longest part of hair is a little past the armpit.

curly goals: GROWING OUT!

routine: Condition daily with Nature's Gate Conditioner, shampoo once a week with Organix Hydrating Shampoo .
Wrap in t-shirt and let dry for ten minutes. Scrunch with Redken Ringlet 07 and blow-dry bangs.

I do the same mostly. I just add more Lustrasilk or some KY Jelly (depending on the dew point - below 40*F I'll usually do the Lustrasilk, and KY above there) to refresh my second and third day hair.

Hair is best when wabi-sabi.
