I have to say, to experience all of those curly haired transformations was an incredible thing! If any of you in other parts of the country (or FL) think you could do the leg-work to arrange for lodging, transportation details and a bevy of curlies, it will be a crazy wonderful thing!

Now that I have rested and recovered a little bit...time for me to check in as well.

What an experience. We had a great time, did some absolutely amazing hair, and it looks like we will probably do Lake Worth again in about three months time. I cannot thank CurlyCara and mpgirl enough for both their companionship and their hard work in keeping me on track and on time (and mpgirl proved that she can wield a pretty mighty diffuser!). Julie, our hostess and the woman who coordinated the event, is an incredible person and I am really looking forward to seeing her again.

I am over-the-moon proud to announce that Marni Foster of Salon Spargo in Farmington Hills, MI (our very own mrfhnl) is now the first official Live Curly Live Free-certified stylist. Michigan girls with curls: you will do yourself a great disservice if you do not take your curly locks to Marni. She worked extremely hard alongside me all day, was the perfect assistant and, at the end of the day, showed what a wonderful stylist she is herself by giving me an excellent cut. It was awesome meeting her and I wish we lived closer to each other so we could work together more often.

And incidentally, I actually did manage to eat a Greek salad at lunch, lol. I have classic "hairdresser syndrome"...we get so busy, we don't think to stop and refuel sometimes. I know when I am doing hair and get into my zone, it's hard for me to pull out of it and stop for a bit. Trust me, I got a (loving) earful from mpgirl on the way home about it

The whole trip could have been a comedy special. Especially when Tiffany and I both wielded our hair dryers at the same time in the same room and flipped a breaker HAHAHA.

The gray-haired woman is totally my hair twin in terms of curl type. I can only hope to look as fabulous when my hair whitens.
