Overall, it was a good experience. John is very nice and very outgoing. Everyone there is full of compliments. So anyways, he basically sat me down and asked about my hair. What I like, what I want to change, and what I want for a style. I basically told him I want longer hair but he could take off as much as needed to give it the shape it needs. I walked about with hair about 3 inches shorter, which saddens me a bit but it will grow back with a better shape.

It was the first time I used Deva products and I am glad I never wasted my money. My hair was producty feeling and frizzy by midday. I would go back given the opportunity but the price is a little scary to me since I am used to paying <$20.

My hair feels the same - I think it's the set it free.

I am ok with the price because I go maybe 3 times a year.

Your hair is so beautiful I am sure it looks fantastic. I am sorry the amount taken off made you sad!!!

It was either the set it free or set me up. I didn't like it either way!

*sigh* It will grow back. It needed to be done.

Carmen, do we really need to ask you to post pics?? Come on

I'm sure if it didn't need to be done he wouldn't have cut as much. John was hesitant to cut xcpntl shorter remember?? Of course, it's gonna be a shock at first but as long as you keep taking care of those tresses it will bounce back It feels a little weird for the first few days when I get it cut until I get used to it too. Like xcptnl said it's not like you're going for a trim every 6wks you might see him 2-3 times a year and it's so worth it for a quality cut. KM had said in another thread that we wear our hair every day.....

Pics will be tomorrow. Promise! Its been a long hard day of travel and rain for my hair.

I agree, he only cut off as much as needed. He said that its in very good condition but does have some dry spots that need to be addressed. It was so amazing to have a stylist who knew what I was talking about and didn't judge me based on my haircare.

It looks great. I love the thickness/nice fat curls. And it does not look that much shorter (to me-I know it's different when its your hair).

CurlyhairedFarmer,

My goodness if your hair looks that fantastic WITHOUT a haircut... I guess you will look like a million BUCKS when you come back from your salon visit!

Frankly, I think your hair is amazing. I love the curl pattern, the texture, and the current style you are wearing. VERY CUTE!

I didn't think there was any way it could look even better than it did before.

You guessed it: I was wrong.

I think it looks amazing!
