Another drugstore gel that I've had good luck with in the past is FX Curl Booster Fixative Gel... it's in a yellow bottle, and it's CG.
If you'd like a spray gel, L'oreal now has a vive pro glossy styling line. The spray gel for curly hair is CG, it's called
L'Oreal Vive Pro Glossy Style Glossy Curls Spray Gel

(in a gold spray bottle)
It has PEG-modified castor oil, and I had no trouble with buildup.

I think I've tried this. I used it on dry hair and it really got rid of the frizz!

Hi everyone

UK newbie here - trying to get together products to begin a cg routine.

Finding it v difficult to get a firm(ish) hold gel to layer with a creme. I have been looking for the Biosilk rock hard and la looks sports and have had problems finding both. Sally's in London told me that they have discontinued the biosilk from all of their UK stores and uk amazon site lists a different looking/packaged gel to the ones I've seen elsewhere so I don't know if they are the same?!?! Amazon calls it :L.A. Looks Sport Activity Proof Power Gel Mega X-treme Hold Level 296 ml + 118 m

Bloody long name if you ask me! lol

Could someone familiar with UK products please help me find these gels - in the UK?

I can't start a routine without a decent (alcolhol free and preferbly protein free/light) gel.

I have posted on another thread also.

Thanks so much everyone

Thumbs up-- that's a good one!

I use the cheapy Suave 8 flexible hold gel. How the hell do you air dry while you sleep? I just get frizzies and no volume?

I think the LaBella green smells like watermelon candy and vomit. Terrible!

Has anyone tried the Aussie Tizz No Frizz Gel? I have it, and used it once so far, but I don't know what to expect from it, really.

I think I am in the same boat as you... it feels dry. Do you have any idea what ingredient is causing this for you?
