Calling all coarse and porous girls!

My hair is coarse and porous and hates protein. I'm experimenting right now, and what I would really love to find is a product that makes my hair soft with no frizz. I know I am probably asking for a miracle, but what I really want to know is, what has worked for anyone with the same hair type? I have wavy hair, so I'm really not really looking for a gel. Should I try oils? Creams?
Any other advice for this hair type?
2c-Coarse and Porous.
Experimenting with products right now.

My routine:
Low poo for scalp
Condition using icequeen method
rake in gel at scalp
scrunch with microfiber towel
scrunch in more gel side to side
pixiecurl diffuse side to side
SOTC

My hair hates:
Upside down diffusing
Upside down Plopping
Protein
My hair is similar, though much curlier. I have had really good results with KCKT & KCCC. KCCC has hold but it not overly strong. At least it isn't to me. I use a gel over it because my crazy hair needs limitations.
I have med/coarse 3a/b curls with low porosity and normal elasticity. Thank you Live Curly Live Free!!

I also love KCCC.

I also like to use ACV or Bronner's conditioning rinse once a week because the acidity is good for smoothing my porous hair.

I am just starting to try out oil sealing on wet hair, but the dew points are not high enough for me right now to test this out fully.

In the summer I can handle occasional protein in the form of keratin. I use it when my curls get droopy, or when I get some canopy frizz that cannot be properly addressed by moisture or stylers.
Kiva! Microfinance works.

Med/Coarse, porous curly.
My absolute favorite leave-in right now is Thera Neem Leaf & Oil Cream. It makes my hair super soft and has virtually eliminated the frizz I developed after my run-in with a pair of thinning shears at my last haircut. The only drawback is it's rather pricey at around $14 for 2 oz. I don't use as much of it as other products, but that still doesn't compensate for the price. I usually rotate products, but lately I've been using the thera neem 3-5 times a week. I've been using it for about a month at that rate and have used about half of the container. My hair is relatively short.

kathymack had good results with the Thera Neem lotion. It's much more economical than the cream. I don't use it because it has a higher glycerine content than the cream. My hair can only take small amounts of glycerine.

A close second for me is Komaza Califia Leave-in. It also makes my hair quite soft. The smell is kind of strong and took some getting used to, but I am sensitive to floral/perfume scents.
Hair type: 3a/3b, medium texture (canopy is coarse), high porosity.
Hair hates protein; tolerates only low amounts of glycerine.
Products:
Color: Redken Shades EQ
Rinse-out: Curls Coconut Sublime, Nirvana Cherry Bark/Almond, JC Aloeba
Leave-in: BB Curl Styling Lotion, Darcy's Peach Kernel Milk, Darcy's Avocado & Wild Plum, TheraNeem Leaf & Oil Cream,
Styling/Hold: KCCC, Fairy Tales Curly Q Natural Curl Maker, TheraNeem Neem Leaf & Aloe Gel
DTs: Refined Coconut Oil, Ojon, Homemade Avocado
I have to second using a vinegar rinse on occasion. It does wonders for smoothing the hair to make it softer and shinier. I use regular white vinegar and honey diluted together in water.
3a/2c, medium texture, thick and dense, normal porosity/elasticity. Cone free since 5/1/09.

Low Poo: JCHCC
Cowash: Giovanni or Suave
Condish: GFTN, SSCC
Stylers: HG is always SSCEJ + LALSG
My hair is also course (at least canopi and ends),but I think my hair likes protein. I really don't understand the connection. And I realised that since I started CG,my hair seems to have more elasticity. Is that good?
Natural hair colour growing out.
Shoulder lenght 2b/2c medium with coarse, dry canopi.
Co-wash: Suave Coconut
Rinse out: Suave Milk & Honey
DT: Conditioner with honey,avocado,etc..
Leave in: Home made FSG with Conditioner.

When you all apply your product, how and when do you do it?
