Default Leave-in Conditioner

What are some CG friendly Leave-in Conditioner's without protein?

AOHR is very thick and a bit sticky on the hair but you can thin it with another leave-in.

i use GDLI and i do not really think it has that much protein or any in it. not sure. it's great and my hair does not do protein.

GDLI Ingredients: Aqua (purified water) with *rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) oil, *nettle (Uritica dioica) oil, *thyme (Thymus vulagris) oil, birch leaf (Butela alba) oil, *chamomile (Anthemis nobilus flower) oil, *clary (Salvia sclarea), *lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), *coltsfoot leaf (Tussilago farfara), *yarrow (Achillea millefolium) oil, *mallow (Malva sylvestris), *horsetail (Equistetum arvense) oil, *soybean protein (Glycine soja), cetyl alcohol (plant derived), tocopherol (vitamin E), trace minerals, citric acid (corn), sodium hydroxymethyglycinate, grapefruit seed (citrus derived).

There is a little protein in GDLI, but not much. Personally, I don't buy leave-ins much anymore. I just use a small amount of my regular conditioner.

Yes to Cucumbers makes a great leave-in with no proteins.

I am loving the CJ leave in - not sure as to the protein; I'm sure another curly will chime in.

Lustrasilk Olive Oil Cholesterol - it's cheap, and the olive oil / cholesterol combo is really faboo for sealing in moisture.

I also like GDLI. Been using it since 11/08. I also uses Alba Botanica Leave-In Conditioner. Just checked - no proteins at all. I rotate these two leave-ins every few days.

I love this in the winter but couldn't imagine it in the summer. But England summers are not really summer or so my friend from the UK tells me (though she is from Scotland)

Rather than try to find a leave-in that would be just what I needed, I made my own by mixing about 1 tsp of a rinse-out in a 6 oz spray bottle of water. I admit it, I'm cheap. But at least I knew this would be a good leave-in conditioner for my hair.

(I made it using Nature's Gate Aloe Vera Conditioner for normal to dry hair, which I think is protein free. It mixes in more easily when the water is hot, otherwise you'll need to mix it in a blender!)

Hehe that's not cheap at all. I did that with half AOHR and half water in a spray bottle as a kind of 'reviving' spritz, for 2nd/mid-day hair etc!

Thanks all! I'll have to see if I can find any of those locally.

Another vote for the Giovanni leave in! Just got some over the weekend, and been having some great hair days since then! (even with high DC humidity!)

Giovanni leave in has soybean protein. Brought out frizz on me but works great on my kids with fine curly hair. Alba Botanica leave-in conditioner has protein in it too, I think the coconut oil. Someone correct me if I am wrong. I tried them both and my hair freaked out. I am super protein sensitive. The Alba was the worst reaction I have ever had. Again it works great on my kids who are not protein sensitive. I use natures gate aloe as a leave-in.
