When you see someone else's crunch...
...do you ever want to just scrunch? I was standing in line at the grocery store and was behind a lady with some beautiful curls falling to her mid-back. But they had that really crunchy, wet look to them. My fingers were itching to scrunch one and see what it looked like!

Ha ha, I am currently very self-conscious about my crunch so I probably wouldn't do that to anyone else. The problem is that it takes a loooong time for my hair to dry enough so I can SOTC. I've done it prematurely in the past, which leads to frizz and flyaways. So now I'm trying to diffuse enough in the morning so that I can SOTC early enough to not have to embarrass myself in public.

Yes!! I want to scrunch them. My hair is fine/thin so even with the risk of frizz I will scrunch out prior to my hair being totally dry because it just does not look good crunchy/wet at ALL!

Awww, Pretty Medusa, I wasn't thinking it looked bad! It was more of a curiousity thing as to what it would have looked like scrunched out. I'm always out and about with crispy hair. If I waited for my hair to dry, I'd never leave the house!

Yes I do! Some people have really pretty (dry) curls, but they just need to scrunch out the crunch. One person in particular last month, it was driving me crazy! I really wanted them to look soft.

I feel you completely on the little samples of KCCC. Since starting CG I've been seeing curly hair everywhere. I guess I just wasn't paying attention before. Whenever I see someone with curls that are clearly dehydrated, I always have the urge to hand over a tub of conditioner. I'd be a very poor woman very quickly that way. Also, I've really noticed when curly hair is brushed out when dry. I just wonder what kind of beautiful curl that woman has and want to wet it down again to check.

Mine never does well if I have to do that!
Yeah, I'd like to see what her looked like once finished, but I'd just figure it wasn't dry 'inside' yet - mine's like that, sometimes for hours, depending on products, diffusing time, and humidity/dewpoint.

Argh, I know it sounds bad, but I always want to scrunch out peoples' crunch!! I know that a lot of curlies don't even know that it can be scrunched out!
I get really self conscious about my crunch in public!! Lol.

Absolutely. Especially if it's that really kinky Ramen Noodle crunch! I just want to grab the whole thing in a pony and slide my grip down it. Ahhh. Better.

This. I've gotten used to the fact that I'll have crunch for most of the day I wash. But I am going to try diffusing.

Yes.
I wouldn't, but I want to. Especially if it has that old 80s Aussie products smell.

I admit to getting mental from other peoples scrunch!
I have several cousins and a few nieces with hair like mine and they all use that crispy look to control their hair. i GET it, cause I did the same thing at their age. But we didnt have curly resources then!!!
I have tried to convert a number of relatives, but no go. I have, however, converted many a curly stranger who has stopped to ask me about my hair.

Try being a stylist when she runs across someone with a really bad haircut and has her shears in her purse

I'm less bothered by visible crunch..... maybe because I'm an incurable premature scruncher, so I assume that maybe they're just more disciplined than I am.
What I can't stand is when I see people with serious wave/curl potential.... but they've combed it....and blowdried it within an inch of its life.... and there are frizzy, crimped, flattened out waves just sitting there. It makes me so sad!
