Default ABBA Pure Finish firm hold gel on clearance table

I found this gel in a salon on their clearance table for $5. Wonder what that means?? Maybe they just are not going to be selling that brand anymore. I could not pass it up for $5!

I still have some of the old Abba Weightless. I've been trying it lately over CJ CCCC and it I'm really liking the combo.

And, I too, have the old weightless gel. You know are a product junkie when you have both the old and the new version.

And, what is really odd, that is the combo I used yesterday MsG but with the new ABBA gel. I also got good results even with scrunching out before my hair was totally dry.

msg - does the old version make your hair stringy at all? I love the hold of this gel, but for some reason, it destroys my clumps!! Maybe I need to use it over a heavier leave-in.

Leave in: Aveda Shampure or any of my RO's
Stylers: Summer - CK or KCCC under BRHG; Winter - SS CJE or B&A gel under BRHG

It didn't destroy my clumps when using CJ CCCC underneath. I know I have to be very careful not to use too much - a little of this stuff goes a long way and it does seem to do much better with a leave-in or cream underneath.

I've only used it over Re:coil or w/o a leave-in, so that's probably the problem. I'll try it tomorrow over something heavier
