Default 'Natural' hair dyes

Hi everyone, I've really wanted to colour my hair for a while, just to even it out and and some gloss to it! Can anyone recommend anything natural that I could use? I really don't want to damage my hair, just wanting a dark brown glossy colour to add shine to my hair
TIA!

Hope someone can help.

I've always wanted a weird color in my hair like teal.

When my hair was straight, I used to paint stripes in the blond bits of my hair (extension bits) I had like pink and purple sometimes black. I think I may have been a bit crazy at that point! Lol!

I use Naturcolor and it doesn't damage my hair at all. You could also look in to henna/indigo/cassia. There are threads on all of those. HTH

Henna/indigo is the only natural way to permanently dye your hair; I like it but it can take away some of the curl.

Since you're already dark brown, have you considered just a clear glaze for shine? Struttswife mentions them.

Clear shine treatments works wonders for shine! Plus u can get color added to it , lasts a month. I use to get them done @ my friends salon but it became costly and she upped her prices lately so i found some @ sallys. I also found colored dyes @ sallys thats a powdered form , just add water. No peroxide or amnomia! I colored my hair the other day , just black , came out great , nice and shiny and i havent used a clear shine yet! I did use a clear shine @ sallys 1 time , came in a packet form and u just knead the packet and brushed it on dry hair for 20 mins , it also had no peroxide or amnomia.

Is Naturcolor only available online, and what are the ingredients?

I've been considering dying my hair a similar color to my own (about 7.5N) to cover up these nasty highlights, the roots are getting close to three inches and it looks just stupid.

I found this general list after a bit of searching but the thread is 2 years old so it could have changed. I don't have a box in my house right now unfortunately.

Spagyric Herbal Infusion, Burdock, Centella Asiatica, Nettle, Sage, Hops, Lavender, Rosemary, Lecithin, Lavender Oil, Coconut Oil, Soy, Oleic Acid, Ethanolamine, Shea Butter, Mango Glycerides, Camomile Extract, Vegetable Resin Extract, Bilberry Extract, Red Sorrel Extract, Walnut Extract, Sodium Metabisulfite, Jasmine Absolute Acorbic Acid, Hydrolized Wheat Protein, P-Phenylenediamine, P Aminophenol and M-Aminophenol
There's a separate bottle of gel developer with something like 3% peroxide (no ammonia).

You are supposed to choose a color close to your natural hair color as it is meant to deposit color, not lighten your hair. I've used it every 2 months for the last 6 months and haven't seen any damage. I stay my natural color and dye only to cover greys and get shine.

Ooh thanks rcc, I might try that. Maybe I'll just stick with my natural colour - I didn't realise that my curls were at risk! I didn't know I could lose curl.

I've done a chai tea rinse, and it gave me a little richness and some red. can't remember if it gave me shine but it was fun! you have to rinse a big bowl of it through your hair something crazy like 20 times...I think I even soaked my head in the bowl at one point.
I'm curious about the clear glaze, how long does it last in your hair?
what the color was before ( I hate my natural color, it's so mousy and blah)
