I did this again today, except in the shower and more while upside down. I got A LOT of spiraly ringlets everywhere that looks awesome. Even my mom said my hair looks curlier. Yay!

I tried this today, the re-wetting that is, and didn't get great results. The dew point was 61 and my hair turned out really puffy. The 3 a,b and c curls were extra curly while the 2c hair was just puffy. I think humidity is especially bad on my hair due to the variety of waves/curls.It seems to exacerbate the difference in curl patterns.
The only thing I'm sure of is that it was better than it would have been had I not re-wet. Its hard to tell from the pics. But, there is a distinct difference in clumping. After re-wetting, my hair was smoother and more clumped. I'll try again.

I washed with Suave, rinsed with JCWDT then added some JCDWT to ends and KCCC. I plopped for 5 minutes. Then re-wet and reapplied JCWDT and KCCC to lengths. I was just thinking that the KCCC has humectant properties and using extra on a humid day may have been too much. This just occurred to me as I was posting on the high dew point support thread.

Also the utter shapelessness may have been due to a combination of factors, just aggravated by the humidity and extra dose of humectants.
I haven't had my hair cut in 9 months. I really doesn't have much shape to begin with. The curlier parts of my hair respond more to the humidity, drawing attention to the inconsistent curl pattern. Just theorizing. Did you see my pics?

Also, I'm curious, why are you plopping before the resoak? Have you tried it the way I described in the OP?

Yes, my hair is pretty dry, at least on the ends. I use very little product on the crown since it isn't as porous and dry. I plop in between to dry out the crown and get at least a little lift. Even with very little product, the under layers of my hair above my ears take forever to dry. Judging from your reaction, this is way too much moisture. I'll try to back off a little. Also, I 'll revisit your OP and follow your approach.

Anyhow, yes, try it like it is in the OP. I really think this might alos help you boost your roots. Let us know.

Ok, after a sad attempt at video production this evening, I must inform you of a delay in the videoing of the Super Soaker Technique.

Turns out my bathroom is to small to accommodate me, my son w/camera and My hair at the proper angle to capture the action in the mirror.

But fear not! We have figured out the the Kids bathroom is large enough and plan to try again, next time Mom does her hair

I tried to get 2nd day hair today using Rudee's method and it came out pretty good. Not quite as good as 1st day but seeing how I hardly ever get 2nd day hair, it's quite a success for me!

I wet my hair at the sink, used FSG as my base coat, brushed it through, then used a container and poured water all over my head -- much less messy than using my hands; I evidently tend to throw the water -- then scrunched in Mop Top gel. Can't wait to try it again on 1st day hair.

I was so excited about getting non-shower hair that didn't look like total crap that I didn't even think about flat top. It didn't turn out too flat but I do need more canopy clumping. I'll keep working on it - this method of yours really does make a difference. I'm so glad you posted it!

Seriously, I think the Super Soaker method is revolutionary I was getting stringy curls because my hair was drying too fast and of course didn't think I was "allowed" to re-wet them since I had never heard of someone doing that before!!
So yeah, I tried it today. Left me with big clumps prior to diffusing. Shoulda taken pics, I know, but the end result was just meh because I used my Hot Sock today for the first time and it wrecked my clumps.
My only hestitation about this method is that when you're rewetting at the sink, I felt like it was washing out my LI and curl creme. Yes, I was scrunching up (it's not like I poured water over my head), but still I felt like some product must have been coming off with the water dripping from my hair. I used CJ CCCC today and I shudder to think it may have run down the drain eeeek! What are your thoughts?
2c-3a. Thick density. Texture = mixture of medium and fine.

Always trying to boost my curl!

Go-to products: Pink Boots, CJSG, LALSG, Abba Pure Finish gel
Experimenting with: CJAF, CJ CCCC, JCRR/CC, BRHG, PB Goo, Re:Coil, Komaza CHP, EcoStyler Protein
Didn't like: HESMU, Matrix Biolage Gelee (both too goopy)
