Default Just bought a bowl diffusor

....and love it! It's some cheapie thing I got at Walmart with a ceramic disk. I'm not even sure that the disk does anything, but whatever. All I know is that the attachment they call a diffusor that came with my hairdryer does nothing. It creates frizz and makes my hair take longer to dry. But the bowl diffusor encouraged curl and dried my hair fast. It said not to use the blowdryer on the high setting, but I ignored that. I used the Pixiecurl method. That never worked with the other "diffusor."

Hi, this is probably a silly question but what is the Pixiecurl method. Thanks

Basically, you gather your hair into the diffuser with the dryer off, and bring it up to your scalp. Then turn on the dryer and leave it there a while. Turn the dryer off before moving the diffuser again.

The idea is not to move your hair with the dryer turned on.

Using the Pixiecurl method with a bowl diffusor really does cut down on frizz. I origionally thought, "What difference would that make?" Oh, and I must add that the bowl has those fingers, so even my roots are drying, which gets rid of the flat-head syndrome. I only need to partially dry the lengths and let them airdry the rest.

SuZen, I think my hair probably looks a lot like yours. I will try to get some new pics in my album, but I can't seem to get the pics to post here. They're in my www.

Yes! Your hair does look quite a bit like mine. At the moment, I think my curls are a bit more spirally, because of warm weather and curl-enhancing spray.

Every time I see your avatar I think, "There's my hair twin." I think the same of Pixiecurl, except she's strawberry blonde. We're triplets.

I was cashiering at one of my jobs yesterday after using the diffusor and a girl buying a straightening iron asked me if I curl my hair. I said it was natural and her response was, "It's cool." People often ask me if I curl it. I should say, "No, God did it."

thanks for filling me in about the pixiecurl method. I'll have to try it tomorrow morning when I diffuse my hair

ha! Score!

I bought this thing yesterday and was going to take it back because I figured the disk would get too hot.

I guess I'll try it now.

Nothing like bumping up a thread from page 96, huh?
