Default First Cut with Struttswife!!!!!

Well, I did it. I drove the 1 hour+ ride to St. Pete yesterday for my first cut with Struttswife. What an experience. I do not consider myself a newbie by any stretch, so I was shocked by how much I learned. More than I could put in a post. I was thinking about it this morning and I will compare it to the 4 tenants of customer service I was taught while working as a leader for WW. We were taught to help every member to feel Part of the Group, Cared for, Well Informed, and Motivated to Succeed.

I got all 4 of those from Tiffany, but especially the last 3.

Best of all, I woke up today with a new love and appreciation for my hair. I am a wavy curly. Can't change that. No matter how many curl creams, custards, or gels I put on my hair, I will never have spiral curls beginning at the crown. But I can enhance and define the beautiful, loose, wavy curls God gave me and have the healthiest hair possible.

As for the cut...... I feel like I lost 10lbs of weight off my head, which is so fabulous here with a dew point of 77 today! Everything is just laying in place.

I FINALLY learned to plop properly. I even plopped, slept in it, and woke up with gorgeous curls that are not plastered to my head. Amazing.

Thank you Tiffany!!!!!!!!!!!

Now tell us what you know, or we will hurt you

Or in the very least, hide your gel.

OK, OK, calm down people! :-)

http://public.fotki.com/momof3curls/...h-struttswife/

I had to wait for awesome hubby to come home from golf to take the pictures. I actually went through the whole routine she taught me last night before bed, and slept with it plopped. Woke up and clipped until it was dry. (about another hour maybe?) Then SOTC with pomade. I love it! I feel so free! Everything is just laying how it should. So amazing!

As for what she taught me....... Basically, it was just better explanations of things I already knew. The one very different thing for me is just using less of my R/O condish as a leave in, then while STILL IN THE SHOWER, flip over and rake the gel through, then scrunch gel into the ends. She showed me how to plop in a better manner, I'm not sure I could explain it well. I used a flour sack towel folded into a triangle, flip the triangle over the head, wrap the ends around tightly, and tie it in the front-not the back. This was huge because without the big knot sticking in the back of my head, I was able to sleep in it. There was lots of other info, more than I could ever write here. She was awesome!!!

Izzy, you will be so happy. She is such a lovely person too. Well worth the drive. Where in FL are you? BTW, did you see the dewpoint is 76 today!!!!!!! My hair gets so curly when it's like that. A little frizzy, but I'll exchange that for the beautiful ringlets. :-)

How on earth do you plop overnight without your hair stuck to your head? My hair dries really soft this way...but I can't save it without wrecking it.

You look great.

I don't know, I think each person's hair is different and will get different results with everything. Who knows, I could do the same thing tonight and get totally different results.

So happy for you! I was so tempted to run over there to meet you for your appt. but I didn't want to guano your time with Tiffany!

It looks fabulous! And - her plopping method is all I use now. I too can sleep in it if I need to. It works way better than the "plunking" style for me.
