Question Ouidad

I'm thinking about trying the Ouidad line and would like feedback on the products.

If you are CG they aren't for you. I used them before and I love the Climate Control and Curl Quencher gel but both have cones.

I tried Botanical Boost and FX Gel. I wasn't impressed. Lots of things I like more.

I use the Ouidad products and absolutely love them. They're expensive but in my opinion, worth it.

About once a week I shampoo with the Curl Quencher moisturizing shampoo. I know shampoo is usually a no-no on this board but my hair just never took to curly girl. I like it because it doesn't leave my hair feeling stripped or dried out.

I use the Balancing Rinse conditioner daily and the deep treatment once a month. I haven't used the leave-in conditioner but I plan to.

The Climate Control gel is my must-have. I've never found anything better. It's ridiculously humid and muggy out today but I have zero frizz. It does dry a little crunchy but I use the shine serum to scrunch anything out.

She has a curl profiler on her site to let you know what products will work best for your hair and there's also a 30-day return policy on normal sized bottles if you decide you don't like them.

Hi Heart of curls,
I think her line is mediocre. Just a lot of good advertising but the product doesn't live up to the hype.

Everyone's hair and experiences are different but from my experience you can do much better than Ouidad.

Best 1st day method: Super Soaker
Conditioners: Curl Junkie Beauticurls Strengthening Conditioner,

Stylers: Experimenting with cones & sulfates while the dews are high. Sometimes try roller sets - classic glamor but I prefer my curls.

Oh thanks for this information although I know it was directed to the OP.

I was thinking about trying the Ouidad as well.. because I kept seeing the ad for it and the sale.. I avoid cones as much as I possibly can.. so I guess I won't be getting this.. thanks for saving me time AND money.

You're welcome Before I went CG I loved it and it did work great for me. However, I think my hair is a lot healthier now that I am CG so I don't think I'll be going back.

Default Love Ouidad Products

I've been using Ouidad Products for Years.
Curl Quencher Shampoo and Conditioner 3 times a week. Moisure Lock or Balancing Rinse as a leave in on ends only when my hair feels really dry, Climate Control Gel after conditioner, and Botanitcal Boost or damp hands with a bit of Climate Control to get 2nd and 3rd day hair.
Deep treatment once or twice a month, and I'm set to go.
I've tried tons of other products, but this is what really works for me.
I usually buy the Professional size bottles so I haven't had to reorder since they reformulated some things, I'm just hoping that they work as well for me as the old ones.

Wow! Somebody just pulled out a picture of me taken in 2006. I used all Ouidad products then and my curls looked phenomenal! Does anyone know what products were reformulated?

I also received an email from Sephora yesterday. They now carry Ouidad products!
