Why? Why does my hair have to be so frustrating?

Starting 2 days ago I started getting really bad frizz. So last night I did a protein treatment and low-poo. Because I had gone a whole month without protein treatments and more than that for shampooing so I figured I needed protein and needed to remove the cones.
Last night when I was detangling my hair it was really tangly and felt odd. Don't know how to decribe it, just odd. This morning my hair is the same as the last two days. Flat. Frizzy and now greasy.
What is wrong?

Sorry - all I can offer is sympathy. My hair is very frustrating also. I hope others chime in with solutions.

I'm on day 4 of bad hair, and I have nothing to offer but my sympathy. It sounds like protein wasn't the problem though. Maybe a deep treatment or acv rinse would help.

Although, to be fair, I've tried all of those things to no avail. :? Good luck though! Hopefully things will improve soon!

I was also going to add, you might need a good DT(moisture treatment).

Is it possible that you're protein sensitive and just didn't know it? As far as I know, hair with too much protein can be frizzy and tangly.

My hair isn't flat today (I'm thinking it was because I was plopping prior to that and those three days it was flat I was doing a plopped pineapple, but I don't know for sure). And it isn't greasy, but I can tell the frizz is going to be bad.
The only thing I wouldn't get about me being protein sensitive is there is protein in my gel and mousse. And I was doing them once a week and it was helping, than all of the sudden this time it was awful.
Maybe I can only handle it in smaller doses now. :dontknow:
I'll try a DT. Can't hurt and I haven't ever done one.

I 2nd (or3rd:)) the DT. When mine is looking frazzled, I'll even leave it in over night wrapped in a plastic cap and a towel (I have some of those turban ones). Actually, I was pleased with how my hair came out that I'm doing it more. Saves time in the morning as all I have to do is rinse.

I don't know much about protein though.

Good luck!

Which is better for a DT, coconut milk or avocado?
