New CG--worked, but now blahhh..help!

I started CG method about a month ago. For the first few weeks, my hair looked great, but the past two weeks my hair is less curly. Really, it just feels too soft to hold the curl or something.

In the past (pre-CG), I avoided conditioners, because it seemed like too much conditioning made what curl I had go away and then I was left with weird waves that I didn't know how to handle. That's kind of what is happening now, although I'm following CG.

Here's my routine:
Co-Wash --Suave Coconut
Condition--GTTT
Style--Plop with Jessi Curl RR and CC, Herbal Essence TT

I am a work-at-home mom to 4 kiddos under age 5, so my hair often finds itself in a ponytail (I can't stand it in my face when I am just around the house). Could this be the problem? I also only wash every 2nd or 3rd day. I wonder if this is also contributing??? Not sure.

The first time it seemed like my hair started going downhill is when I tried JessiCurl TooShea for my conditioning a few weeks ago. I noticed the curls were not as prominent, so I discontinued using that and went back to the GTTT.

I'm open to any suggestions. Oh and I think I'm 2b/2c, although right now my hair almost looks straight, but I've had it in a pony for a couple of days! I'm going to do the whole co-wash/plop routine tonight.

Thanks so much for any help you can offer!

When this happens I shower and use a mixture of 1/2 cup vinegar to 4 cups warm water in my hair to remove all the product. I follow this up with my conditioner. My hair looks great after that. I think this will work to solve your problem. I do this at least once per week, sometimes 2.
My hair didn't care for the Jessicurl products--it made it limp and lifeless after a week. The Jessicurl stylers have magnesium sulfate--many find it drying and can't use it on a regular basis, if at all.

My hair does like the more natural products and natural soap bars to cleanse. I went from being a winter wavy/summer 3a to hair like my signature picture everyday.

Alright, thanks for the suggestions. I tried the ACV wash moments ago (plopping now) and I'm going to look into purchasing the items for the FlaxSeedGel--maybe going the more natural route will work for me, too. I'd be in Heaven with your curls, Kathy!
