Soap bars - wholesale site
I don't use soap bars on my hair, seriously bad results for me, but I love them for my body. I discovered this after getting one from KM a while back for my hair and then not wanting to waste the bar. I don't have dry skin anymore since I've been using them instead of Dove. I buy them from this website to get the wholesale price:
http://naturalsoapwholesale.com/Orga...-Soap-Shop-c9/
They average about $1.50 each if you buy them in single bars. If you love a certain scent and buy the whole loaf (10 bars) they're even less (I looove the citrus cedar sage). Shipping is very reasonable too. My last order was 15 bars, and after shipping charges the total was less than $30.

I've ordered from them before too. My hubby likes the citrus cedar sage and bay rum. I ordered a loaf of the lavender for my showers. And several other flavors. I don't use them for my hair either, but I use them for my body and even my face.

So the info I & I'm sure others heard in a commercial from Dove about their soap not containing the harsh & soap scum ingredients other mass market soaps contain is BS?!
What about Ivory; the same?

I don't know about Ivory, only used it a couple of times in my life and it was drying for me. I used Dove for many years and it seemed fine, but I always had to use very heavy lotion too. Since I started using these soap bars, I don't have to use heavy lotion - some days I don't use lotion at all. I've also been using Avalon Organics hand wash for the sinks and AO face cleanser too, both sulfate free, my skin looks better and even my hands aren't dry anymore.
I think they work for some on hair for the same reasons. They don't strip your hair, and they give a cleaner feeling than co-washing alone. For me, they made my hair a stringy, flat mess and the ACV rinse you have to follow them with irritated my scalp from too frequent use. I prefer a sulfate free low poo- my head feels clean and my hair looks better.

I couldn't use them on my hair either due to getting a tangled, matted, stripped mess. I think it's because of the hard water. And I'm not one for vinegar, not even in food.

I like soapbars for my hair. Haven't used them since I toasted my hair with bleach, but once the damage grows out and I can wear it curly again, I'm going back on the soap bars! Good website, I'll have to look into it further in about 6 months!

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.
No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

These soaps are top notch! I don't like them for my hair either, but they are awesome for my skin! I bought a ton of soap from this site around the holidays last year and made soap gift baskets for a lot of my friends and family. Everyone RAVED and most of them are ordering from this site now themselves.
I have stumbled across a gift shop in my region that sells these soaps for a totally inflated price. I think it is awesome anyone can order off this site, you don't have to be a vendor or whatever.

That gift basket thing is a great idea! I've given the bars away to many friends and family, and everybody loves them. They just smell so good!

I gave a bunch away at Christmas, and gave my sis more for her birthday.

I gave a bunch away at Christmas, too, and have thrown in some as little extras with birthday gifts.
