Is there a happy medium?

I'm looking for a rinse out conditioner that is not quite as moisturizing as GVP CB but more moisturizing than Suave coconut. I think if I keep usuing the GVP every time I'm gonna get over conditioned.

I love the triple nutrition for a co wash but not so much for a rinse out and the GF sleek and shine leaves my hair a little producty feeling. I'm hoping for a drugstore or sally's brand if possible.

I'd like to try the LVPNG but I can't find it anywhere!!! For those that have used it - would it be what I'm looking for or is it just as moisturizing as the GVP?

Should I just alternate between a moisturizing conditioner and a protein conditioner?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

3b - dry - medium texture/medium porosity!
Co wash/rinseout/leave in: currently auditioning products
Styling: lube and BRHG
I've used the Moisture Maniac as a leave-in, and it seems to be somewhere in between Suave and GVP. It might be the same way as a rinse out. It isn't cheap though.

I've never been overconditioned in the last year, and I leave the GVP in as a leave-in.

I use the Oatmeal and Honey as a rinse out, and it seems to have a happy balance between moisture and protein. Again, not inexpensive.

Co-wash: Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle or Trader Joe's Nourish Spa
Rinse out: Ion Effective Care Treatment
Leave-in/Styling: Moisture Maniac with Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner on top
Protein Treatment: Nutress Moisturizing Protein Pack
Deep Condition:Acure Moroccan Argan Conditioner+Sally's GVP Balm
I think the oatmeal and honey would be perfect but I don't like the smell. It smells like... food. I can't seem to get past that. I may have to suck it up and use it anyway if I can't find something else.

I've use both Suave coconut and GVP CB, and I think Giovanni Triple Treat Tea Tree condish is the perfect balance between the two. It has amazing slip (good detangling). Smells heavenly (unlike the chemical-y/artificial smell of Suave conut and unscented smell of GVP CB.)
I've used GTTTT as a co-wash, rinse out, and leave in- all work amazingly.
I've decided GVP CB is best as a "pre-wash" conditioning treatment. I slather my hair with it while it's dry, and it soaks everything right up. And then I also like a pea sized amount focused on the ends for a leave in- I get better curl formation with it then using GTTTT as a leave in.

So both are staples for me, and as for the Suave, I just find it too cheap :/

P.s Used GF sleek and shine, I got the same results. Felt weighed down and weird, I think it's the fruit oils.

so is the GTTT very moisturizing? I sort of assumed it wasn't?!?!?

I've tried the Smooth as Silk conditioner, their second to heaviest condish, and it wasn't as rich as GTTTT condish (when it's ranked almost the lightest condish.)

It truly is like the perfect conditioner for my fine dry hair. Sometimes I even wonder if the tea tree somehow helps shut down the folicle (or is it cuticle lol, I've lost track) like an ACV rinse would. Doesn't weigh it down like GVP balm can at times, but it provides an adequite amount of moisture. I've recently started low pooing with the companion poo, and it doesn't strip my hair at ALL. I used a quarter size amount of it to a quarter size amount of Jessicurl HCC. Next time, I'm using it on it's own. Usually I'm sensitive to soy proteins which the poo contains, but it didn't effect me- guess the mild surfactants took care of it.

GVP balm is still another love though- gives me better curl formation as a leave in than GTTTT.
