What do you do on the days you don't co-wash?
I co-washed yesterday and of course my hair looked great. Right now, I have a bit of bedhead. What do you do the days that you don't co-wash? Do you spray with any kind of styling product? Do you re-wet it and plop again? Do you do anything specific overnight? I'm afraid to do too much "messing" with my hair for fear that the frizz will rear it's ugly head. I ponytail is awfully tempting, but I'm trying to stay away from those.
What are your tips?

I have yet to achieve second day hair so I shower every day. I only co-wash every 3-5 days but use a rinse-out conditioner every day and style as normal.

I spray my hair with water and shake it until it falls properly.

Well, I wear my hair in a bun or braid so I'm probably not much help. :P
Do you pineapple at night? A lot of curlies find that that helps keep the frizzies and bedhead at bay.

Unfortunately my hair is too short to completely pineapple. It's below my chin and will go in a ponytail in the back of my head but I can't get it into one at the top without a bunch of it falling out in the back. I'm thinking about getting it slightly damp with some condish and water in a spray bottle and then maybe lightly plopping in the mornings before I head out.

I didn't do anyhing. I wore my hair back if it didn't look fresh. My hair never felt clean with it even co-washing regularly. I had to stop the routine. Maybe I should've tried spritzing with water. But no I had to just go w/wearing my hair bakc.

I co-wash my hair every three days. On the days that I don't, I still wet my hair, use a rinse-out and a leave-in, then style as usual. Yes, it's time-consuming but my hair is short now, so it's not that bad.

Same as me. I've decided that second day hair for me is really just impossible. I don't mind though.

I just wet and add a little bit of co to the ends - maybe from half way down my hair and rinse out. I really need the shower to wake me up!

What days I don't co-wash? I get so much environmental gunk and sweat and so forth (yay English summertime) that I feel the need to co-wash everyday. But - from what I understand, what most people do it just wet and condition and leave it at that. I suspect I'll be okay to do this come autumn, but we'll see how it goes.

I have short hair, and I half pineapple. I gather all the hair that will fit on the top of my head. When I get up, I spritz with water the bottom (around ear level and down) and then put whatever I'm using/testing on to refresh my curls. Lately its been CJ AF. Then let down the pineapple and do that as a second layer. Works really well for me.

The other day I wet my hands (so that they were dripping) and then rubbed a bit of AVG (like slightly bigger than a pea size) and smoothed over the surface of my hair. Took care of my slight fuzz and nothing gunky or crunchy resulted.
You could try that and scrunch it in to refresh your curls.

When I get 2nd and 3rd day hair all I really need to do is swipe the flatiron over my bangs.
This summer my hairs been a bit wonky; If my hair is frizzed out I emulsify some CJAFG in my hands and lightly swipe it thru my hair - really makes it wearable!

I can usually get 2nd and 3rd day hair with a satin sleep cap. I know they look silly, but it's really my HG. Perfect curls as soon as I get up and take the cap off, some days I can get them for day 3 as well - or if not, I'll just put it in a ponytail. I'll use Tweek to fluff things out a bit, maybe FOTE to tame any little frizz, but other than that I don't need much product.
If I'm not planning on co-washing, I just put the curls up in a shower cap when I shower. Or if they didn't survive the night, I might just do a water rinse. I can get by with 3-4 days a week of co-washing, any more and I get overconditioned.

I still just rinse mine in the shower with plain water and then go about my normal styling routine with my soft gel or whatever else I use.
If you don't want to do that.. you could just keep a spray bottle of plain water around and spray it down and then do your normal styling with whatever products you normally use.

I don't do anything with my hair at nite. I don't like going to bed with wet or pineapples hair or with it in a cap or scarf. I like sleeping aux naturale. : )
I co-wash 2 or 3 times a week. The other days I wet it thoroughly, add gel, scrunch, plop.

1) Use a spray bottle of water and then add some leave-in conditioner
2) Just wet my hands and work in some product
3) French twist.

Depends on if the day I cowashed was a wash and go day or a protective styling day. If it was a day to define my curls I rock that for that day (have yet to achieve second day hair) and then rock my undefined afro for a few days to a week, spritzing with a little water and rubbing a little extra leave in over hair and sealing ends every couple days. I braid in large chunky box braids and wear a satin bonnet at night.
If the cowash day was a protective styling day meaning right after I cowashed I put my hair into a protective style (something where hair is constrained and.or ends are covered which is protective becuase it reduces breakage and tangles). Depending on the protective style I leave it for 1 to 3 weeks, shampooing while in if it's on the longer end. And in between spritzing with water and dabbing moisturizing leave in on the twists/braids, focusing on ends.
