Hi everyone

I have a little problem...no matter what I do (plopping, icequeen, pixie diffusing, clipping, raking, smoothing, scrunching, and whatever else) I cannot gel my crown to curl. The hairs start to curl up a little above my neck, which looks terrible.

Do you have any idea how I can prevent this??

To be honest I've given up on mine, it is what it is and I've just had to get used to it. Not sure what to suggest if you've already tried all those methods. It's a pain in the bum isn't it?!

chicpower- I usually take a section (about 1 inch thick), make a tiny loop at top to lift roots, then clip it horizontally.

Well my crown is a little weird...it's like it doesn't want to form into seperate clumps to form curls, the hairs just sit there together...yup, weird, I know

maybe you need a haircut. is ur hair long? maybe u need shorter layers on top. a good haircut and clipping has radically changed how my hair looks.

I second this!! chicpower has a great clipping tutorial. It's the only way I have gotten any height at the crown!

Yeah for a curly crown!

I am plopping as I write and may try to clip overnight. It would be great to wake up, fluff and go! We shall see!
