If I buy a CG shampoo or condish and I don't like it, I have to finish it before I buy anything else. What is wrong with me?! It was hard to get rid of the non-CG ones I had, I used all the shampoo's as hand soap and gave the condishes to my mom. I still some left over John Frieda for Dark Hair that I don't know what to do with (don't want it to turn our hands brown )

Right now I have 1 Suave Naturals, 1 Naked Naturals, 1 Biolage, 1 giovanni tea tree, and 1 other CG condish (the cheap powder pink one).. but that's what I had from the beginning. I have gone through 1 suave and bought another one, but that is it. Not a fan of the giovanni or Naked Naturals, but I do use them when once a week or so.

Won't buy any more shampoo or condish until all this stuff is used (though I will refill the suave.. love that stuff)

Nothing wrong with that. It just shows you're not wasteful. That's the way I was brought up. The only thing keeping me from being a true product junkie, is lack of excess dough...LOL That's why I try to get the biggest bottle of whatever is I'm gonna get for my money so it can last. But I totally understand where your coming from. In all honesty, I have three conditioners under my sink that I don't wanna use anymore because they have cones. I'm having the biggest guilt trip ever over not using them. In a pinch though, I will. If my grandmother could see that though, i'd never hear the end of it...LOL

Sometimes, like now, I'm forcing myself to use up something; a bottle of Nexxus Sublime Volume Conditioner.

Other times if I think it's worth trying to sell, I'll do that. But the rest of the time I'll just give it away locally.

Future Wave

I have a GALLON JUG of Sally's Salon Care condish. The ingredients certainly read as CG friendly, but it has Stearalkonium Chloride as one of the main ingredients in it. Stearalkonium chloride doesn't do this to everyone, but it makes my hair limp and absolutely lifeless.

So I'm not using it any more as a conditioner - I'm using it as shaving cream, because it leaves my legs incredibly silky smooth. I probably have enough to last a decade...

A product has to be really,really bad before I'll bin it, I hate being wasteful. If I'm not keen on something I'll just tend to use it on days when I'm not doing anything or going anywhere, when I know it doesn't matter if my hair looks crappy! I don't stop myself from buying something else in the mean-time though.

I'm the same way. Heck, I even have some non-CG products I still use before the day I know I'm going to do a low-poo / baking soda days... but shhh....

I'm the total opposite, I actually wish I could use up my products but I just CAN'T if they don't give me perfect results. Sigh. I guess I'm just a perfectionist, and my wallet is starting to feel it!

I think I may be a reformed product junkie! I started to use the "precycle" philosophy before buying any new products. If I'm unsure about something, I think it's better left in the store rather than cluttering up under my bathroom sink. If it's something I'm really curious about I try and get a sample before buying full sizes. And finally, I will only purchase from places with excellent return policies so if something doesn't work out for my hair, I goes back to the shop.
