I have talked to two of my friends about the CG method and received positive responses: they inquired about the method, what I use, websites, etc. I talked to my mother about it but she was too impatient to wait for the "worse before better" phase to pass (plus she has some HUGE hard water issues as she lives in the country side so this doesn't help her cause).

However, the one person I cannot get to try CG or even be remotely interested in it is my sister. As far as everyone is concerned, she has straight hair. However, I find that since hitting puberty her hair has become wavier and wavier, and the wavier it gets the more she tries to brush the wave out. This has caused some REALLY bad problems with the ends of her hair being really dry and frizzy. I once even asked her if she used conditioner at all! (She does). She complained about a "nasty" wave that forms on her hair (which she has been straightening out lately) and I suggested she might have wavy hair and that she should try the CG method I've been using and see how it worked for her. She gave me a glare and said there was no way in hell she would try it because she doesn't have curly hair. I explained it's meant for wavy hair as well, but had no luck.

What can I do to make her realize he hair's true potential?

Future Wave

It sounds like she really doesn't want to have curls/waves, period. At least not right now.

Basically there's nothing you can do if she doesn't want to accept her waves/curls. The current fashion is for straight hair, so she's probably just determined to have straight hair, no matter what.

I know it's really hard to not say anything to her about it, but just let your hair speak for itself, and if/when she eventually decides that she's fighting a losing battle against her curls, then she'll start to ask questions about how her curls can be as gorgeous as yours.

You can't.

She doesn't want to accept her waves, and you need to respect that. You can't make her do something you want her to do.

I know it's hard, I wish my brothers partner wouldn't brush her kids hair dry or use greasy products instead of moisturizing ones, but at some point you need to realize that people just don't want help... and at some point we need to realize when we start to cross to line from friendly advise into becoming irritating and trying to force our ideas on others. I'm not saying thats what you're doing but that may be how she sees it if she doesn't want to accept it.
