KCCC and 2c/3a Hair
Would KCCC work well with 2c/3a hair? Also, what leave-in do you use with it?

ah HA! I have 3a/2c hair exactly! and I newly acquired my first pot of KCCC last week.
Yes!! Its good! But dont use too much. In fact, dont use much at all. I alternate between a light coating of curl junkie banana and hibiscus deep treatment or charles worthington results leave-in. I add one of the other while my hair is still dripping wet from the bath, then add a small amount (just coat the finger tips lightly) of KCCC throughout the hair and seperate hair into the usual chunks if thats what you do (or scrunch. your call) I personally then wrap my hair in a microfibre towel for the night. I look like a terrorist till it comes off the next morning but the resulting shiney curls are worth it ;o)

I have 2c/3a hair! I used KCCC today, just finished showering and it's plopped right now. I have a love/hate relationship with it. Sometimes I get really frustrated with how long it takes to dry, but I do get great, clumpy curls with it. I have Knot Today, and usually use that with it. But today and didn't decide that's what I was going to use until after I had my regular leave-in in. (which is Tigi MM) I'll let you know how it went later today.

I agree that it doesn't take much - I barely dip three fingers in once or twice. I use about a dime's worth of KBB hair milk underneath for my leave-in when I use KCCC. It works well year round, although right now I'm experimenting with other things that don't work so well in winter.
I see you use Boot's already - the two work very well together. I like to use just a tiny bit of it first emulsified between my hands until white, work it thru my hair and then apply my KCCC. I still usually use some KBB first. This is probably the closest thing I have to a HG, go-to combo that works dependably at any time of year.
ETA: Oops, I see I was looking at Fluffy's post instead of the Hipchick in regards to the Boot's - the first post was so short, I overlooked it while answering. Sorry!

Thanks everyone. How long does KCCC take to dry?
Right now I am pretty happy with Arcangell and One C as a leave-in but I want to rotate products.

I am a fine/medium haired 2C and I love KCCC. I use it with a teeny bit of KCKT.

Anatidaephobia--did you also get a Carlos cut in NYC? If you did, I am glad to hear that we have a somewhat similar hair type and these products work with his cut. Do you use clips with these products?

I'm struggling with the KCCC - I get some frizz when using it. I got the KCKT to use with it hoping this might be the secret and while it has cut down on the frizz I feel that my hair is going to frizz as it looks in a 'I'm getting ready to frizz' state (if you know what I mean!). Do you think I should try something like a gel before I put the KCCC on and/or after the KCCC? Or maybe it's just a case of keep trying with it....
Of course we have had nothing but drizzle for the last couple of weeks so maybe this isn't helping?

Me, too - over most anything, in fact. I also usually start everything with some FOTE AVG to also help control frizz and for added moisture.
As for how fast KCCC dries, it seems to depend somewhat on what you use under it - IDK why, but many find this to be the case.

I did get a Carlos cut. He used recommended Deva products to me but I had already read a lot to make me wary. KCCC works wonderfully for me.
I don't clip. It's mostly laziness and incompetence on my part. I don't see why you couldn't.

I use it too (have fine 2c/3a hair) and it works very well for me. During the summer I only use a tiny bit with some regular drugstore gel. During the winter I use a little more, still mixed with drugstore gel but more like 25/75 (favoring the drugstore gel). I use my cowash conditioner as my leave-in. I find that if I use KCCC every day my hair gets weighed down and if I use too much my hair feels producty and weird, but it's great otherwise. Especially in the winter when my hair needs all the help it can get in terms of moisture.

Hey, for those of you who have used Pink Boots and KCCC, would you say that pink boots is lighter?

I use pink boots sometimes. Its different from KCCC as its more of a cream and I don't get any crunch from it. Its similar in application (for me anyway) in as much as you have to watch you don't put too much on. Not sure if this helps you sorry!

Do many people with medium/coarse hair and low or medium porosity have good luck with KCCC?
Sorry I tried to ignore this but didn't manage it haha, I just found that pretty offensive as almost all people who wear turbans aren't terrorists.

I finally got KCCC. Would it work with Deva one condition as a leave-in and Deva arcangel over the KCCC?
