I really liked BB's FSG, but I found I had to layer it with too many other products, and it just went too quickly to be cost-effective. I'm using a liter bottle of Jessicurl Rockin' Ringlets that I got for an incredible deal, and I find the results pretty comparable, if not better.

wow, this thread seems to have taken a turn for the worse
I've never ordered her product but I wish her much success in her business endeavors.

I don't think so--I haven't seen any personal attacks against BB on this thread and I certainly don't think that anybody here wishes anything but the best for BB's business. The OP asked how it rates against other gels, and I definitely feel that cost is a mitigating factor there.

ITA there is nothing personal against BB here. We should be honest about giving our opinion about the product and review it the same way we would any other company. Price is usually a factor for most of us whether we're buying from Deva, Curls, CJ or DM. You can't please everyone and we don't need to dissect her reasons for charging what she does, it's up to her it's her company.
I don't think making hair products at home is the same as making food in your own kitchen. There is chemistry involved and formulation is a Science! We've seen companies having to reformulate because the finished product didn't hold up as expected given certain weather conditions etc. or items have spoiled in transit.

Prices
Did anyone know she must've changed her prices on the FSG? For a 8 ounce $15.00 and for the 16 ounce $25.00.....i think i might give it a try because of all the discussion about it

Honestly, it is amazing. If you order, email her re whatever issues your hair has; she can customize your "recipe".

why do some folks here think this thread is bashing to BB? Just because she is someone we "know" thru NC, are we not permitted to share our opinions on her products? Just as we do with Deva, Jessicurl, etc?
We help each other here by sharing our experience, knowledge and opinion of procduct, cost, service etc in an honest, respectful way.
If she is to be a sucessful business person, Im sure she can handle feedback, if she were to read this thread. Isnt knowing the pulse of the market (and consumers) key to driving and improving business?

I never perceived it as bashing BB; maybe just begrudging her a bit?
Like you said, everyone is entitled to share their opinion.

I am always intrigued by threads about BB's FSG.
Not a DIY person, no matter how easy or inexpensive the ingredients might be, I would rather pay someone who has a tried and true recipe than take time, effort, money experimenting myself. And if BB's prices went down slightly as mamacita1603 mentioned, that's great that she is trying to accomodate her customers based on feedback she may have received directly or read here.
