My first hair compliment!!!

Now, I've had friends and family tell me how much they love my hair (straighties) but never a stranger. I was at lunch with my mother-in-law today and the woman at the table next to us says "Excuse me, how do you get your hair to curl so beautifully? Is it natural?" I told her yes, that I've always had these curls. She said they were perfect spirals and that she has tried and tried to get her hair to look like mine with no success. She had super straight hair, so I'm not really surprised by that. My sister has straight hair and hers won't hold a curl either. I must admit, I thought I was having a particularly good hair day too. She also asked me if I wanted straight hair since it seems as though those who have straight want curls and vice versa. I told her no, that I really like my curls, that they reflect my bubbly personality pretty well. The whole thing gave me a little morale boost.

I volunteer at a hospital on Fridays and the woman who brings in the fresh flowers commented -- what beautiful hair you have - where do you get it done like that? I said oh, I just add some products and let it dry, it's natural. Nooo, she said (with this cute English accent) I don't think I quite believe that. I said yep and I've always wanted straight hair. Sort of makes your day!!!!

Getting compliments from strangers is such a nice feeling because you know they are sincere or else why would they say anything at all.

I had a nice hair compliment this week too, but not from a stranger. My boyfriend and I are in pre-deciding to make the step towards-marriage counseling, and this week our counselor asked us to name things that were unique about us and made us want to be with each other. One of the things on his list was, "she has great hair"

and the counselor agreed and said "you do have really great hair." It made my week

It feels awsome when you get compliments from people you don't know!

I had a compliment this week. I was getting my teeth cleaned yesterday and the hygenist was moving my hair out of the way to put the thingy on me (you know, the napkin like thing) and said my hair was really pretty.

How sweet!!

I just couldn't believe that a complete stranger would interrupt my lunch (since it was for this reason, I was cool with it) to compliment my hair. Makes you all warm and fuzzy inside!!
