Default OK FL curlies - it's meeting time!

I was on the phone with Tiffany (struttswife) today. We were talking about mine and goobernut's appointment on the 17th of October. Since it's been mentioned in the past that mid-October is a good time for a meet up - we decided that it would be the perfect time.

So the date is set for October 17th. We've yet to determine a meeting place yet. But for sure Tiffany Goobernut and I will be there. We need to nail down a location. We'll be doing an evening meeting so a nice (but perferably inexpensive) place for dinner would be great! So who all is in?

So make an appointment for earlier in that day! She might be able to do it since she's moving salons. then you'll already be there - you can hang out with me and goobernut while we have our appointment and then go out with us that night!

Hey Mom

Even if you don't get to come to the evening thing, maybe you can come by and say hi while we're getting our hair done! PM me or Tinah and let us know. Either way, it'd be great to meet you.

Yeah I meant other shopping I need a Whole Foods fix, and they have one in Tampa and in Orlando. If its not to far away (or too far off the route) I wanna stop by one.

Is this going to be a curl gathering like we have donw before or is this the "curl event" that was discussed in the other thread to promote Tiffany's new salon?

Darn it! I'd love to meet you! How often do you come down? Maybe we can set one up for a time when you'll definitely be here.

There isn't too much by way of restaurants left around my new salon location since so many have closed due to the recession...although that certainly isn't a prerequisite. Starbucks is across the street, but I have the feeling a mob of curlies jacked up on caffeine and loose without supervision at night could be a bad idea

We could go back to Pia's (Italian) or Siam Garden (Thai) unless everyone wants to go somewhere new. Carmelita's (Tex Mex) is right up the street. We talked about the Pier before, although that's more for ambiance than decent food, imo.

Tampa area folks? Suggestions?

Ooh! I vote for the pier. I'm up for a liquid dinner!

Oh fun! I couldn't make the last one and I really wanted to make the next one. My birthday is on the 15th so we'll see what my birthday festivities are but it may be a fun time with FL curlies! I can also carpool if anyone is headed from Orlando-ish area. Any kind of dinner is great but Thai tends to be quite rough on my tummy
