Default The mother of all DT's - I'm so mad!

**My three year old ripped the "comma" key of my laptop so bear with me **

So I decided to make up the mother of all DT's today. I mixed suave clarifying co as a base with some AOHR - SheaM - grapeseed oil - jojoba oil - a shot of GVP k pak - and some honey together. It's smooth and creamy and smells good too. I was looking forward to a long DT. Put it on now and rinse it out before bed tonight. I got it all in my hair and was putting my hair in a plastic cap when I remembered I have to be somewhere in about two and half hours!! GRRRRR!!!! I feel like I wasted an awesome DT. I'm gonna leave it in for as long as I can but nowhere near as long as I wanted to!!! I'm sooo peeved right now!

Oooh I hate when I do something like that.

If it makes you feel any better, some of the reading I've been doing says that with that kind of moisture DT, it doesn't really help to leave it on any longer than 20 mins You're hair is going to eat up all it can eat up in about that amt of time.

Goobernut, that sounds logical, but my hair definitely fares better with an overnight than an hour or 1/2 hour. Hm.

Tinah I feel for you because I'm constantly struggling to find time to do any hair care and I haven't come up with a good workable schedule yet. I hate going to bed with wet hair (it looks like H*LL) in the am and I don't have time in the am to do all the waiting and scrunching and drying etc that's needed. I'm lucky if I can throw it in a clip or band that holds it down somewhat before I run out the door. My hair also takes forever to air dry so I hate also being at work or other obligations with wet hair.

Can you slick back your hair w/the treatment still in it, put it up in a bun or a clip and go with the "wet-look"?

I bet you'll still benefit from that! I usually brush my hair out before a DT and the last time my husband needed me to go to the store and get him something. My lovely brushed out hair and I were fuming on the way to the store.
