Bought Joiwhip today - any raves? UPDATE w/ pic!

Hey girls,

After using up my trial set of devacurl I decided to go ahead & purchase the devacare no-poo, one C & heaven for your hair....

but instead of buying more angel (to use w/ my rockin ringlets) I decided to try the Joico joiwhip! I've seen the name on here TONS!

Was thinking of trying it alone (w/ the one C of course) but would like to hear any recommendations for you who use it first!!! Should I scrunch into soaking wet hair the same as w/ gel or creme? Do any of you out there LOVE this product?

They said I could return it if I don't like it & I'll just get the angel (or even try arcangel)! Let me know!

Thx -

So here are the results from my heaven in hair DT w/ the Joiwhip mouse....I really really like it. I hope I'll cont. to have good results w/ this b/c it leaves my hair WAY less frizzy than Angel (I need to add rockin ring. w/ that b/c of the frizz). OH - I also did the pixi-curl method of diffusing! A little more time-consuming but less flyaways 4 sure

Joiwhip is great.
My advice is to apply tiny amounts. Don't saturate your hair with it. I let my hair air dry a little before using.

Right now I am using Pantene Ice Shine mousse mixed with VO5 conditioners and I like that.
But I love Joiwhip.

You have beautiful hair!
Good luck with it, some people love the stuff. I found it very crispy and made my curls thinner, more stringy. It worked better for my wavy bits in the back

But then again, too few to mention...
I love, love, LOVE Joiwhip! I ran out last week and have been using HETT Mousse and I've had bad hair days nearly everyday. I won't be able to pick up any Joiwhip until next week and I'm bummed.

I apply Joiwhip to right out of the shower wet hair. You will need to figure out the right amount for your hair as it is easy to put too much in. But once you figure it out, it just might become your HG. It's definitely mine!

Wanted to add: I use a leave-in before AG:recoil and then apply Joiwhip. It does dry crunchy, but I just scrunch the crunch with SIF or just my hands.

Have fun....good luck!

I've always wanted to try Joiwhip, but I have never used mousse. Perhaps I will have to pick some up! They carry it at ULTA right?

Whimaway - YEAH I have an ulta right next door that carries Joico AND devacurl whoo hoo!!!

Pinksugar - Ok I just dt'd w/ heaven in your hair & I did scrunch the joiwhip into my soaking wet hair & scrunch w/ microfiber towel as always. I think I put a bit to much in although I haven't seen the results yet!

Curlylew - if i don't like doing it the soaking wet way, do you leave some condish in while air drying & then scrunch the joiwhip in w/ a microfiber towel???

Thanks so much girls....I LOVE the smell - like coconut????

I love joiwhip. It has quite a bit of hold. I only use gel over it if the dews are high. I add it to soaking wet hair after using a leave in. It is easy to use to much. I use half the amount of a store mousse.

Mine has an orange smell. I had my leave in scented in sweet orange to go with it.

If my hair is soaking wet the joiwhip feels heavy, sticky and stringy.
I do leave just a little conditioner in. I flip my hair over and gently put small amounts in while diffuse.
No microfiber.

You had great results. Pretty.
Joiwhip is a great mousse. A little bit goes a long way -- using too much of this stuff can lead to some gunky hair. I've never used a gel or anything over this; it has a lot of hold on its own. I have used a little re:coil underneath it and gotten some great curls.
