Default Did y'all watch What Not to Wear last night?

The lady was NOT happy that the hair stylist (not Nick, the new one on the show) straightened her hair. She couldn't get over it and kept mentioning it to Carmindy and Stacy and Clinton, and then in the end, in her final reveal, she went back to wearing it curly - and looked FABULOUS. Very awesome example of a woman stayin' true to her roots and rockin' the amazing curls she was born with.

Hopefully this will be a lesson to the new hairstylist to not follow in the Nick's footsteps! (just as an aside...did anybody else ever find it ironic that curly-headed Nick always felt the need to get rid of every woman's stunning curls?)

I didn't see it - phooey! I'll try to catch a rerun. I'm always very interested in the curly makeovers. Thanks for the heads up!

I didn't see that but I DVR'd it, so I'll have to watch it tonight! And yes I made a thread about how he kept doing that, although many disagreed with me...

No worries Curlypearl! Though hopefully I didn't ruin it for you!

Smo: oh, I totally agree with you, baby. Nick was infamous for straightening curly hair or making some passive-aggressive comment about what her hair was doing to her style. And I can recall more than one episode where the recipient was less than pleased! (understandable, I say!)

I saw it! I thought about it too when she started complaining about it. I thought well if she doesn't like it straight (and she said so before he styled it) why wouldn't they do it curly for her? I mean she even said that she didn't want see her hair striaght! I did look better curly!

I saw that too. But didn't she complain about EVERYTHING?

I agree that she was much better curly. She didn't need a blow out, she needed to be taught what products to use for curls.

i agree wookie, the girl was negative about everything. She really wasn't happy with anything. She bugged me. I will say her hair was cute curly.

It drives me nuts how people on these shows aren't shown how to style their curls! I think that the stylist should show the person how to style their hair curly AND straight (if they *must* straighten the hair).

I didnt catch last nights episode, but there have been plenty of times where I have thought to myself '...she could have beautiful curls if they just showed her how...'
