So I've decided to shave my head...

My hair hates the suave co wash. And, btw, why cant you get some wigs for crap-O hair days and NOT shave yer head; maybe do a BC.

There are days where my head gets so hot I will actually get a migrane from it.

And yes, my hair would be too thick to put under a wig. If you are seriously considering shaving it I say go for it. It will grow and I'm sure you wouldnt consider it if you didn't think you could pull it off!

I don't really want to shave my head. It would look awful on me. But I do threaten to do it all the time. I don't think I ever will tho.

I think maybe I'm hopeless.

Question, do you have any buildup from products on your hair? You may benefit from using a clarifying shampoo first and then trying conditioner only.

I don't think I have much in the way of buildup. I've used Aloe Rid within the last week. Although I used Therapee shampoo last night (to remove the cones I used yesterday) and followed it with Kpak and then used my sheaM as a leave in. My hair looks fairly decent right now. I did an overnight pineapple but I think my hair is still too short for this. It doesn't have enough weight when I take it out for my hair to fall back down. But I'm not that frizzy. Maybe my hair just doesn't like certain types of protein? I used emergencee a little over a week ago and didn't really notice much difference - but I seem to get decent results everytime I use the kpak. *sigh* this is just so hard. In the old days if I bought something that I didn't like I just moved on to the next cheap poo/dish combo. I didn't think about ingredients ever. I miss those days.

I like V05 conditioners. This one is a favorite. Calming Chamomile Tea Conditioner.
http://www.vo5haircare.com/products/...green-tea.aspx

There are a few Tea Conditioners. The one I like has "calming" in the name.

I always use a VO5 as my leave in. Then use a styling product which is 99% of the time a GC mousse. I don't have a lot of luck with gels. I get more frizz with a gel.

I had frizzy icky hair no matter what combo when I used the Suave Coconut.

Boy Tinah I hear you. I have given up and use as little as possible anymore. I'm not going to be happy with it most days anyway. All I use now is a gel most days.... but a lot of it. I blame it on the FL. weather... whether that's it or not.

I just can't get my hair where I want it. No matter what I do. I'm doing DT's and protein treatments and not using sulfates and not using cones and nothing is really making that much difference. I figure if I can find a good sulfate free shampoo that doesn't dry my hair out then it won't matter what else I use because the poo will take out any cones anyway. Besides I honestly believe it was the sulfates doing more damage to my hair than anything and I have no desire what so ever to go back to them. It's just soo hard for me to find a moisturizing sulfate free shampoo. Everyone I've tried (all three of them haha) have left my hair as dry as any sulfate shampoo. So I'm having high hopes for the JC hair cleansing cream. I hope I'm not disappointed. If I am I'll have to formulate a new game plan.

I long for the days when I didn't know anything about ingredients. I was a happy PJ then. I jsut bought whatever looked pretty/smelled good/marketed well.

All this work and I still have frizzy hair that I'm not all that happy with. Might was well go back to my old loves.

Tinah, I just wanted to mention that when I started, certain condishes didn't work for me. I have retried the condishes lately and have found that they work much better. Maybe your hair is in a different place now then when you last tried the clarifying condish.

Or any other condish for that matter.

Mix of 3s, thick, coarse, medium porosity

Current hair styling technique: rake with a scrunch at the end. (works with my coarse hair)
