Any changes to Jessicurl?

I use Confident Coils regularly and have for many years but lately I have been having a nasty little allergic reaction on my face and I am trying to narrow down the cause. Has anything changed in the last couple of months with their formula? I thought I recalled seeing something about it but can't locate it now. I did send an email to their customer service department too but thought you ladies might know. I am seriously hoping it is not my hair product causing the issue because I really love my Jessicurl. I am working on ruling out makeup items too although I haven't been using anything new. So frustrating!

It might not be the product that has changed, just the reaction your body has to it. Allergies can develop over time.

My last order of CCSS didn't seem any different to me. Same texture, etc.

Did to try a different fragrance of the CCSS, perhaps?

I didn't notice anything in my last CCSS order either and still using the same fragrance I always do. I was leaning more towards it being my hairspray because the formula changed recently but I stopped using it for awhile now and the reaction has not gone away. Still working on the makeup angle. So frustrating.

Rednatural, how are you using the Anti-humidity hairspray? I live in Florida, and I was just thinking of doing something I used to do when I was a teen. Instead of using gel or spray gel, we'd use a light hold hairspray (me and the other fine haired girls) to scrunch our hair while wet. It would hold up really nicely with no frizzies. I didn't know if this would still work, because back then the curls were a perm AND it was the early 90's and hair was much bigger and stiffer.

And do you only use the CC underneath or what?

There's been no change in Jessicurl formulas that I've heard or read about.

I think only the Island Fantasy scent for JC shampoo and cleansing cream has changed, not the confident curls. This is on the JC website. Apparently the vanilla used in the scent has been changed. The website seemed to only indicate this for the cleansers but if your CC is IF scent then this may be causing your allergy.

Or it is possible that your product may have been contaminated if water or other foreign substances got in it. I know it last about 1 year after opened, but you still have to be careful.

Not sure why, just part of the routine I do in getting ready because I am finishing other stuff, brushing my teeth or whatever. Then I spray my hair all over with hairspray and diffuse again for a couple more minutes to set it. I don't actually touch my hair with the diffuser. I hold it a couple inches away from my hair and just move it around my head, same as I do when I dry with the CC. I find my hair stays better if I don't actually put the diffuser in my hair. After that, no touching until it drys completely and then I lightly scrunch out the crunch. Keeps the frizz out, curls stay nicely formed. Unfortunately as much as I love my hairspray, I am on the lookout for another one because that might be causing my reaction. Garnier changed the formula about a month or so ago and although it seems to work the same, it possibly may be causing my issue.
