Default Holy crap...it's working!

I mean I believed all the stories I just didn't think I could get that lucky, it's working!

A week ago today (9/ I ran out to Sally's and bought all new stuff; however, everything but one product had silicone in it. Then last Thursday (9/10) I went out and bought more stuff--stuff I pulled off a CG approved product list. I bought Suaze Naturals Ocean Breeze, Got2Be Defiant Define + Shine Pomade, F/X Curl Booster Fixative Gel and Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Scrunching Gel. I had been trying all different combinations of product and then I think I might have hit the nail on the head today--can it be?!?

Today I woke up, bathed and conditioned with SNOB (hehe, snob, lol), then I rubbed F/X Gel in my hands then into my hair--I then used my Denman brush and brushed through it, next I fingered raked HETT into my hair, then I tried Rudee's super soaker and I modified it, I leaned over the sink and super soaked my hair to get pretty decent clumps--over soaking wet hair I put the LA Looks Gel into my hair and gently scrunched it in. After doing that I immediately diffused my hair because I had to run to lab. I dried it to nearly 80/90%, and left. So anyways, here is a little look at my hair since starting this process.

Looks great! Congrats and way to go!

(and I'm jealous of your length - it's going to take me forever to get there but I think this is the only way to do it)

Thanks guys! I am super excited about it. I am definitely going to post in the before and after section, but I am going to give it a little longer for it to become the best it can be.

Any suggestions for getting it to the best it can be?

Just keep doing what you're doing. And don't let it freak you out if your hair goes through a really frizzy stage for a week or two at first. Sometimes, your hair doesn't know how to hang onto all the additional moisture in the the re-hydration process and it will go a little wonky. Grit your teeth and get through it...you'll be just fine
