Default Favorite no-protein moisturizing condish?

Hi everyone -

Just wondered if you could recommend your favorite no-protein, heavy-moisturizing conditioner, either deep treatment or rinse out.

Products to purchase or home-remedy suggestions are welcome, but I'm trying to avoid straight coconut oil for now. Thanks!

Hey there!! I have used with great success the Original Terax Crema condish. I really like too. My only complaint is that it takes forever to rinse out totally. I just recently started using Living Proofs Conditioner and I am thinking that I really like this stuff. My hair feels great after I use it and it is easier to rinse out. Not to mention my hair looks great when dry. Good luck.

Is there more than one Living Proof conditioner? The rinse out one I saw has protein.

Ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Cetearyl Alcohol, PolyflouroEster, Behentrimonium Chloride, Fragrance/Parfum, Quaternium-87, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Citric Acid, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Limonene, Hezyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Citronellol, Burtylphenyl Methylpropional

Do you mean the leave in? Can you use it as a rinse out?

I like Jessicurl Weekly Deep Treatment. No protein. I use it as a daily rinse out and deep treatment.

My hair loves the Terax Crema, too. Not sure why because here are the ingredients:

Ingredients: Deionized water, cetearyl alcohol, steartrimonium chloride, triethanolamine, isopropyl
alcohol, centrimonium chloride, lauryl alcohol, fragrance, hydrogenated tallow glycerides, ceteareth-3, myristyl alcohol

I've heard good things about the Terax but I'm afraid to try it. With the chlorides and ispropyl alcohol in that I'm afraid my hair would freak!

I've been loving the Curl Junkie Curl Rehab DT. I love that the texture is light enough that I can also use it as a rinse out and it always leaves my curls soft, shiny and bouncy.

Can't advise you on the Crema--don't know why I even bought it, other then I saw it. It's expensive and the ingredients are odd to say the least. It's also alkaline, so I use it on soap bar day--and do an ACV rinse after the Crema. I have the best curls on those days. Nothing else I do even comes close. What can I say??

Thanks for the info - I'm off to buy some Terax this afternoon, actually!

I have some CJCRehab and did it last night. Felt soft, but not quite as soft as I expected. It was also a little tangly - I decided to put on some KCKT on the ends afterward, for detangling and a little extra moisture. I was just going to bed after that so I didn't need to style my hair.

But my ends feel dry this morning! I read in another thread that some people don't do well with KCKT. I think I need to take Thoreau's advice and "simplify, simplify, simplify".

When you guys do a DT if you're not going anywhere, do you just rinse and leave it alone, not adding any other products? (am I guano-ing myself by asking this?)

Just wanted to follow-up and say thanks for the recs on Terax Crema. I love, love, love it! I just bought the big pump bottle yesterday. Started with a smaller one but fell in love after first try. I also tried the Terax Miele shampoo (sulfate free) which I love. It's a nice low-poo with some lather but it's really gentle.

Every time I use Terax my hair is so soft, smooth and light feeling - it's a definite winner!
