List of Co's with behentrimonium methosulphate please?

I have very tangly and knotty hair and I've read in multiple places on these boards that co's with behentrimonium methosulphate can help quite a bit with that.

Could anyone who knows please start a list of co's that have this ingredient high on the ingredient list?

I haven't kept track of existing posts that mention this ingredient so it would be great if these products could be listed in one place.

If you're looking for a really good detangler - Walgreens sells a brand called Bioinfusion. They have a product called The Detangling Conditioner and that stuff is the bomb diggity. I've never seen anything like it. The second I put it in my hair - and I mean the "second" my hair feels like silk. It removes every tangle with complete ease. It's not the most moisturizing of conditioners but I've never seen anything work as well as this does at removing tangles and providing slip.

Tigi Moisture Maniac has behentrimonium methosulfate in it. That stuff works pretty good. The Garnier conditioners that are CG (sleek n shine and Triple nutrition) both have behentrimonium chloride in them which works well too.

I believe the EO conditioners have the BMS in them also.
CG - 3/27/09
3b - dry - medium texture/medium porosity!
Co wash/rinseout/leave in: currently auditioning products
Styling: lube and BRHG
Renpure Organics Moisturizing conditioner (at Rite Aid) has it, and is very slippery, rich and detanling for a drugstore brand.
John Masters Organics Citrus & Neroli conditioner
Mop Top Daily Conditioner
Robert Craig conditioner
Loma Pearatin Nourishing Moisturizer
The TJ Max version of EO conditoiner - vanilla citrus
MOP Mixed Greens I think has it.

Jessicurl WDT and Curl Junkie Curl Rehab
Type 2b/2c, med/coarse, low porosity, medium density

Co-wash: Suave Naturals Tangerine, Live Clean Moisturizing, CJ Daily Fix, GTTT, Tigi MM

Conditioner: Tigi MM, Jessicurl WDT, CJ Curl Rehab, CJ Daily Smoothing, CJ H&B Deep Fix

Deep Treatment: same as rinse out

Leave-in: KCKT or my rinseout

Styling Aids: Alberto/V05 Gel, HETT/HESMU, KCCC
All the Jessicurl condish, as well as all the Curl Junkie condishes.

I don't think the MOP Greens does. But then again, the only place I found the ingredients for it is at drugstore.com and I'm no longer trusting them for ingredient lists.

Fia 2cFi, fine texture, med porosity CG 5-29-09 * My hair loves protein! Currently using : DermOrganics Shampoo and IHM, G2B Kinkier Mousse, Re:Coil VMM, Anything Spiral Solutions! MO Sealing. Coconut Oil Pre-Poo, once a month Hard Water shampoo. Avoiding Glycerin in finishing products.

For me, I look for conditioners that have behentrimonium methosulphate as the second or third ingredient. When it does, my hair is not only detangled, but very soft! A few of the conditioners I use are:

MopTop Deep Conditioner
Aquage Healing Conditioner
Aveeno Nourish + Condition Leave-in Treatment
Mod CG-Naturally Highly Porous and Dry
This list is not exhaustive...
Winter Regimen
Pre-poo: Hempseed oil
Cowash: HE The Sleeker The Butter, Trader Joe's Moisture Conditioner
Shampoo/Clarifier:various
PT:Not for a while...
DT:
Smooth Sexy Hair Sulfate-Free Smoothing Conditioner
LI/Detangler: It's a 10!, CURLS Cashmere Curls leave-in
Stylers: various
Sealers: Tamanu oil, The Body Shop Wild Argan Solid Oil

Well I look for BTMS as my hair doesn't like it! If you want good detangling check out the Renpure Organics at Rite Aid. That stuff works very good for detangling but it has protein.

Off the top of my head I don't know if it has BTMS but we use Qhemet Biologics Coco Detangling Ghee to detangle my daughter's extremely tough to detangle hair. She has all sorts of textures in her hair (from fine to coarse) and from wavy to kinky. This stuff is some serious stuff. I kid you not.

For her I've never seen anything like it. We section her hair (5 sections) and it took less than a minute to do each section. Used to take hours pre CG and even with something like Tigi MM it still took about 10-15 minutes depending on other products and when we last washed it.

She can't really use the EO or Renpure as they have protein and her coarser hair gets dry and breaks off if we use too much of that so we have to refrain until we really need it and do it in one shot. Then a DT.

Kinky curly Knot Today also has it. It's not super moisturizing but I use it as a detangler prior to a more moisturizing co or when I only need light conditioning.

I know this is a bit off topic but I LOVE brewing Yerba Mate tea and using it to rinse out my DTs. It is the perfect way to rinse the hair, it might be the caffeine or antioxidants but it gives my curls such a boost. I recommend it.

This is a great thread because I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to it and try to avoid it like the plague! My challenge is to find conditioners that detangle and have slip but that don't have BTMS.

It is kinda of a coffee substitute for those who don't want tons of caffeine but want the boost or uplift effect of caffeine. You brew it like you would regular tea. Then rinse your hair with it. It has magnesium (as well as other goodies) in it, which is probably where the curl boost comes from.

thanks for the suggestions everyone, I'll have to try to find something out of that list from our pharmacies up here in Canada.

I think my best best will be the TIGI MM or the Aveeno one mentioned. The rest are out of reach unless I go online and pay for horrendous shipping. I will definitely check these two out tho...

well, just checked the Canadian website for Aveeno and haircare products from Aveeno are not available in Canada at all. So I guess TIGI MM is it!

I also found this awesome stuff at Winners that seems to be discontinued now. If you have a Winners near you though it might be worth a shot to check it out - Healthy Sexy Hair Pumpkin Puree Treatment Masque. Online it's expensive, but mine was only $10. It has protein as well if you like that, has no silicones, and smells awesome. I'm going to be sad when I run out!
