My hair always looks wet! Help? What am I doing wrong?

That basically it... my hair looks the same dry as it does wet. I've tried using less product, and more product, and different product. Every product I can find... but nothing helps.
I've got really thin hair, so maybe that has something to do with it...? I've tried diffusing my hair, but I can do it for over 30 minutes and my hair is still really really wet. Anyone know what's wrong? And how I can fix it? Thanks in advance, any help at all is really appreciated.
Is your hair hard when it looks wet? If so, scrunching it out when it's completely dry usually helps.

I have super fine thin hair and a lot of products glue my hair into strings I can't scrunch out. Have you tried Aubrey Organics Mandarin Magic? It creates soft curls with volume and for hold I use a fine finishing spray when dry . I stay away from strong holding gels. Also a little leave-in conditioner helps. I also air dry for 30 min before diffusing with my fingers so the curls set and I don't have to diffuse so long.

If you have fine hair (or even medium hair!), sometimes oil-heavy products can make hair so oily it looks wet, regardless of how much you rinse. Check the ingredients of what you're using - that may well be the problem if you've got a finer texture.
3b/c. Fine, med-high porosity, normal elasticity. Hair loves oils in summer, protein in winter. Constantly battling the hard water monster.
