Need advice from Vegas naturals please!

Hello ladies!

I haven't been on in a while but I'm hoping that I can still get some advice from you all

Work is moving me to Vegas and I don't know what to expect, as far as weather/water/climate effects on natural hair. Any Vegas naturals with any advice or heads up on what to expect or where to go for products out there?
I don't live in Vegas but was out there last week for a conference. One thing I noticed was that the water was ridiculously soft! I felt like I couldn't get my hair or skin really clean, and my curls fell flat. Don't know if there is anything to do about it, but there's my two cents.
2 mix on top/3a underneath, fine, thick, normal porosity
poo- T/Gel
Co- Suave Naturals Ocean Breeze
LI- Suave (summer), LOOC (winter)
Styling- Biotera Curl Creme and Styling Glaze (summer), HETT gel (winter)
lucky,
I'm only guessing that you may have stayed somewhere that had a water softener.

Lt,
There are several Trader Joe's & Whole Foods stores in/around the Vegas area.

You might be able to find Kinky Curly Knot Today & Curling Custard at one of the TJ's. You'll definitely find their brand of shampoo & rinse-out conditioner; Nourish & Refresh.

Just off the top of my head, WF carries Nature's Gate, J/A/S/O/N, Giovanni (look for the Direct Leave-in), their brand of conditioners (the shampoos contain sulfates, however); 365 Everyday Value, as well as Desert Essence & Aubrey Organics.

It's going to be dry & hot in the summer, & dry but mild in the winter. Look for things to give you moisture. Stay away from humectants that draw moisture from the air to your hair. They work in reverse in arid climates. Wear a hat to protect your hair from the sun, during the summer especially.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.
