GREASY?!?!?
Don't know what to do. I'm mixed, so my hair is naturally very dry. I use a lot of conditioner. I find the more I use, the softer it feels and the more it hangs down the way I like it.. But people sometimes say that it feels greasy when they tousle it. I want touchable hair, but I still want to keep the greatness of the conditioner!! What to do? Could this be related to the fact that I use less leave in then rinse out conditioner?

so i did a little more research ( just use the search box for greasy hair and you get a bunch of hits) and the mostly people had greasy hair from too much oils/shea butter and the like. or it could be OC. It seemed to have built up on their hair. Do you shampoo at all? maybe you need a shampoo. oh just got an idea. if you feel your hair with no condish, stylers, ect, does it feel greasy then?
hope this helps! |

Your hair may not be absorbing all of the conditioner you're leaving in/on it. My hair is low porosity. I use minute amounts of some of the heavier products. I know it takes longer for my hair to absorb the oils/butters then with lighter products. I do sit under a hard hat bonnet dryer for about 15 minutes on low. Let my hair air dry for about an hour. I can still feel a little of the heavier products on my hair when I SOTC, but it's gone in another hour or so. If it wasn't, I'd think I used too much or it wasn't a product for my hair.

Well, I only started shampooing my scalp once I started thinking my hair was greasy. So I did, and it helped. But I think the problem might be my conditioner. Thanks guys!!
